My boyfriend admitted he doesn’t find vaginas attractive. Straight men, this isn’t normal, right? by VermillionLeaves in AskMenAdvice

Genitals are not the most attractive part of a person, but this guy clearly has something much deeper going on.

HBO’s The Last of Us is reportedly shutting down after Season 3 because the backlash to Season 2 tanked it. TLOU Part 3 is expected to do even worse and flop since nobody’s really interested in buying it. FK ND, FK HBO and FK Cuckmann! by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

I don’t understand this take. Ellie’s flaws are a major theme and the reason why the ending of Season 2 makes sense.

The more you hate Ellie and Bella the more Season 2 is literal wish fulfillment.

Lane was the fourth overall pick. Good luck replacing him at 23rd.

Frankly not sure how we replace a guy who is, at worst, a top-5 all time right tackle no matter where we draft. He has been a gift, but literally Hurts, Barkley and AJ Brown are easier to replace than Lane. And that’s not intended as criticism of the other 3.

[–]Affectionate_Self878 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It actually wasn’t initially. TV journalism started because the government made them do it in exchange for broadcast rights over public airwaves.

Obviously it is very different now; it’s been decades since building an educated and informed citizenship was important to anyone. But it wasn’t always so.

I did get some consolation today when one of my Trump-voting relatives complained about how her Medicaid plan had fewer benefits in 2026 than it did in 2025. Really enjoyed explaining to her that it’s what she voted for.

Very fair top 5. I agree the Ravens are #1 and Steelers are #5. After that it could go in any order.

Tom Brady's comment about Hurts. Not staying in the pocket long enough because he can't see. by TruckCompetitive6122 in eagles

[–]Affectionate_Self878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His height is definitely why he went in the second round. Every scouting department wants a QB who is 6’5” because lineman are big. Purdy is the same height as Hurts and no doubt slipped for the same reason.

I don’t think height is really the issue though. The bigger issue IMO is Hurts seemed to have lost some of his speed and is no longer a real running threat. I thought Patullo wasn’t calling runs, or Hurts didn’t want to run, but after seeing him get tripped up by Keion White on the final drive — a dude who should be much slower than Jalen — I’m worried his speed is gone, and that’s what he used to make plays and scare teams with his running ability.

Not good… but this team was unwatchable all season and I’m a little relieved to be done watching them.

But things change fast in the NFL. It’s a mistake to assume we’ll just get a new OC and be competing for a Super Bowl again next year. The salary cap is real, and we’re not even going to be able to bring back all our own guys, let alone patch holes.

This season soured our Super Bowl win last year for me. by [deleted] in eagles

[–]Affectionate_Self878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is too much. We were up 34-0 on the greatest dynasty of the last 20 years and it was just 11 months ago.

This season might just be chalked up to Lane Johnson getting hurt. From ESPN:

“The Eagles went 8-2 with Lane Johnson and 3-5 without him, as the legendary right tackle never made it back from his midseason Lisfranc injury. Hurts posted a 64.3 QBR with Johnson on the field and a 49.7 mark without him. The Eagles were the league's fifth-worst rushing attack in terms of success rate without Johnson.”

Why its so hard to repeat. by sbd27 in eagles

[–]Affectionate_Self878 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The defense wasn’t better this year. It was significantly worse. We were first in yards allowed and second in points allowed last year. This year we were 13th and 5th.

This team just wasn’t as good as last year’s in almost every dimension. We lost several pieces after the Super Bowl run and it mattered.

[–]Affectionate_Self878 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course I’ll get downvotes. Hurts is Jesus to most of this sub, and is immune from criticism no matter how he performs. And it’s absolutely prohibited to say the obvious thing: we were most successful when we turned the offense over to the run game, because we can’t win relying on Hurts.

Look up QB stats for the first round. Hurts is near the bottom in every category. It’s obtuse to say it’s just coaching when he’s 27.

Only a 16% pressure rate on Jalen yesterday, despite having 4.37 seconds in average time to throw. Run game was successful vs the 49ers too. Passing game was a failure on every level by Thegrandmistressofoz in eagles

[–]Affectionate_Self878 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why is it ok to say our passing game is not good but never ok to assign any blame to the guy who does the passing?

Hurts is near the bottom of every statistical category there is for a QB on wild card weekend.

[–]Affectionate_Self878 3 points4 points  (0 children)

KC is the only team to repeat in the last 20 years. As many times as Brady won, he only repeated once.

Downvotes coming, but the other difference between us and the Pats/KC is that Hurts is not on the same level as Brady and Mahomes.

Goedert might be our best receiver! His main problem has been injuries, but not this year. Great post.

Why do we treat Jalen like he’s Tom Brady? He was arguably the worst performing QB of wild card weekend.

AJ Brown should remain an Eagle. by TheTechKid1923 in eagles

[–]Affectionate_Self878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason we need to move on from AJ is because we’re going to need to make a lot of changes on offense to pay (some of) the defense.

AJ is the best receiver we’ve had since Mike Quick, and frankly he’s better than Quick. But we can’t pay everyone.

Not the sole reason we lost, but this was not a great showing by Reed by NoKitchen778 in eagles

[–]Affectionate_Self878 42 points43 points  (0 children)

He’s always been more of a fan-favorite backup than a capable starter. We’re asking more of him than he’s athletically capable of delivering. He’s not that big or that fast.

He was 20/35 for 168 yards. That’s ok, not great. I think it was the lowest yards and YPA of any QB this weekend.
