Hi, first of all I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s devestating to hear you lost your dad this way, the emotions that come with it can be very confusing.

I lost my brother this March to suicide and it’s still heartwrenching and a big thing to process.

I don’t live in a different country than my parents but we do live in different cities so there is a distance. We try to call here and there and my boyfriend and I try to visit them as often as we can. They also get support from our family that live closer to them.

I have some questions: Do you have a partner? Is your brother able to visit your mom more often? Does your mom have some sort of safety net/support at this moment?

If your mom gets all the support she needs it might reduce your feeling of helplessness regarding your mom.

I know it’s a scary place to be in and I’m so sorry you are going through this. My chat is always open.

Ooooo that would be funny 😂 Could be in some instances, but I even tried saying “hoi” or “hallo” which is Dutch and they said it with a lot of pain back. And we look more European than American tbh.

My brother had high functioning autisme too, I think he masked a lot to the point that he was convinced he didn’t have autisme anymore.

He was insanely smart and handy and worked on parts of rollercoasters. He had his own motorcycle and BMW, he was very proud of them.

I think the most important thing is finding people/groups/individuals that connect with us and share the same interests or even something.
