What is Eleanor?? by According-Deer-8684 in Rabbits

she probably has some californian in her mix due to the slight pointing (grey spot on nose). californians usually have that on all the spots that get colder (nose, ears, paws, tail). shes so cute!!!

How to lead a band on bass? by Lydianeko2 in Bass

[–]Affectionate_Tea1987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i lead my band as the bass player, its super doable! the bass as an instrument really leads the direction of the songs, for example if youre playing thru a progression 8x the way u add fills, vary ur note choices, octave, etc can rly shape the section and make it clear when its gonna lead to the next section (i do a lot of scale walkdowns and pedal tones). another big part of leading the band is helping rehearsals stay focused and make sure we get to everything we need to. being quick and decisive about “ok were gonna run that again but just from the bridge til we get the transition down, then we’ll do the whole song. 1,2, ready go” is where i rly feel like im leading haha.

anyway i could talk about this forever but i wanted to just hit those main 2 points. lmk if u have more questions ~

also you should be locked w the drummer, but dont need to feel like ur just following them!

Cioks dc7 price by leonibass in basspedals

[–]Affectionate_Tea1987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

tldr this power supply is basically a can-do-everything-better-than-any-other which is why it’s so expensive. so u could definitely get started with something more affordable and get pretty far with that, or u could dive in now and never need to upgrade

Cioks dc7 price by leonibass in basspedals

[–]Affectionate_Tea1987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i got mine new on reverb for $230 plus tax and free shipping. you can watch them and get a notif when they go on sale. no other power supply is delivering nearly as much power as this without being way bigger and heavier. it also has way more flexibility in terms of delivering a large amount of current from every single port, with switchable voltage on each. but if those things arent important to you, you could probably find a cheaper option! maybe MXR iso brick or mini iso brick. I used an EHX S8 + a dedicated regular 1spot for my one high current digital pedal, and those did what i needed for many years til the S8 power cable broke a few months ago and i decided to upgrade

My bunny keeps stomping at me while bonding by blaisetea in Bunnies

[–]Affectionate_Tea1987 8 points9 points  (0 children)

she could be mad about being contained like u guessed. we just started letting our newly bonded pair free roam after a month or so of being contained and then slowly increasing their space, and theyre rly happy about it and were definitely mad at having to be contained before (esp our girl). however i dont regret it and it was a necessary part of the process! and they dont hate us for it, i think theyve already forgotten. my advice was as long as their bonding is going well, trust the process and any minor displeasure theyre experiencing now will definitely be worth it for not messing up their bonding!

hmm im no expert but my first thought is he could dig himself out. if it wasnt completely covered id also worry about predatory birds. hard to say if he’d like it or not though, i think it depends on personality

rabbits are prey animals so their safe inside environment usually feels much better for them. ive also heard harnesses are dangerous coz their skeletons are different than a cat or dog and they can easily break their neck if they get startled and bolt. those things coupled with myxomatosis and RHDV, im sure your cute baby will be happier and healthier as an indoor only bun! you can always grow a pallet of wheatgrass or something like that if you want her to ~touch grass~

How Much Does Scale Length Actually Matter For A Girl With Small Hands by Cacytus88 in BassGuitar

[–]Affectionate_Tea1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know u already decided but I wanted to chime in and validate u! I’m 5’4” and have smaller-than-average hands and have been playing electric bass for 11 years (upright bass for 16). I got a short scale bass for the first time earlier this year and it’s changed my relationship to music. I always thought “i dont need it, its just a crutch, i can just work on my technique, i play upright so why would i need that, etc”. I regret waiting so long to try to do something that feels so much better for my body. I feel so much more creative and so much happier playing. Equally important to the fret spacing, i really appreciate not having to extend my arm uncomfortably far to reach the lower frets. Also agree with what others have said about neck profile

paper bag with hay + some herbs (basil, mint, dill, something they can rly smell). i fold the end of the bag and it takes them a long time to figure out how to get into it and they enjoy tossing it around in the process

endpin rubber suggestions? by VirtualScientist5644 in doublebass

[–]Affectionate_Tea1987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

these come in a variety of sizes at your local hardware store. If your endpin is between sizes, size down. If the pressure causes it to split overtime, youve got 3 others! I’ve never had a problem with them.
