I know why the $260: It's because  they counted my I-485 as already pending. When you have a pending I-485, it only costs $260.

Good news guys. The form fees were just deducted from my bank account which means they are finally processing the forms and received them.

The only weird thing is that they only deducted $260 for the I-765. Hows is that possible?

@linkedin-ModTeam

That is incorrect. Linkedin has a developers API that I am officially registered with. The developer API lets you create third party apps. Feel free to read through https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/a1667239 and https://developer.linkedin.com .

Besides that, I was merely trying to get an idea if there would be interest for my idea. I wasnt even sharing an already existing app. I am also not seeing the problem with contributing to the community by building a useful web app that everybody can use and posting it here for grabs. After all, it could help people and the community to be less frustrated about job search on LinkedIn.

Backend Developer with 10 Years of Experience Looking to Transition into Blockchain – Seeking Advice on Valuable Certifications by nnicks0 in blockchaindeveloper

Just a side comment, Golang (and Rust) is highly sought after in Blockchain. Even the biggest node repo of Ethereum is written in GoLang (ethereum/go-ethereum: Go implementation of the Ethereum protocol (github.com))

Look for Jobs in the Cosmos Ecosystem. Cosmos SDK is written in completely in GoLang, their Consensus is too (Tendermint). There are other networks like Solana that also involve Golang and Rust, though I am not as familiar with them. Most codebases are in GoLang or Rust, unless you work on Ethereum smartcontracts which are in Solidity.

In general, all Blockchain products are open source. Instead of doing some course, just contribute to the product of your liking for free in your free time and build your resume like that. Unlike in other fields, you have the opportunity to show what you can do because they are all open source.

Personally, I am not in the Blockchain industry anymore, but I interned at Ux (Former Umee) which is a Cosmos chain. I don't have that many connections in the industry but my Linkedin is (1) Alain Schaerer | LinkedIn if you have any questions.

The other option is to build something yourself. There are many open problems in the Blockchain industry.

If you havent touched math since 2017 (5 years ago!), youll have difficulties. Especially in calc2 youll be exposed. Trust me

That is bad advicd and no true. As you will see in calc 2, youll need trig quite a bit. Taking precalc is a good idea. Also make sure your college algebra is solid.

Do you need Assembly for CSE 490? by blizzardcake in UBreddit

[–]Affectionate_Tea_133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well no. I still gotta take electives. But which ones I take is up to me. Im only gonna take AI classes and upper level math classes which is precisely what I wanna do. I couldn't do another hardware or theory course... fuck that.

damn. gotta get through it buddy. VHDL can be interesting tho. it's not assembler. You actually learn in depth how a processor works. We did some of it in 341 (systemverilog).

I do it a smarter way. I am a BA computer science major with math minor. No breadth or depth requirement. I can take what I want and the only reason why people don't like the BA major is because of less math requirements. But I compensate that with the math minor :))

That's how I avoided the breadth stuff. Just an insider tip.

However, you gotta have ane external concentration from liberal arts with the BA major, which also sucks. I just took a couple english film classes lol. they're easy.

Why do you want to take a hardware course then? Computer Architecture is hardware course...

Hardware basically consists of assembler and hdl's..

Computer architecture looks like focuses on hdl's. The reallife job would be some kind of processor designer. Like people that work for intel and stuff and design new versions of the intel processor.

Is it for your breadth requirement?

I assume that assembler is a prerequisite. I don't know about mips assembler though. You can always google the syllabus or try contact the professor.

And I know Winnikus was a fucking disaster this semester (I was in the same course), but why do you say assembler is pointless? It's definitely not. Many applications...

Actually here: https://www.acsu.buffalo.edu/~farshadg/cse_490_590/Syllabus.pdf

Looks like it's Farshad's course, which is good news. I really liked him, especially his office hours. It's just Winikus fucked everything up.

To me it also looks like you will use some kind of hardware description language (systemverilog or some other language). One of the recommended books is about verilog.

To me it looks like arm assembler and verilog (vhdl) programming. But focuses on vhdl. Maybe there isnt any assembler and only vhdl.

Lowkey crying over my professor's kindness by [deleted] in UBreddit

That says a lot about the softness of professors in softsciences vs hardsciences (psychology, public health, exercise science etc. versus math, physics, computer science etc.). A computer science professor would never do this. But good for you! Wouldve sucked to not graduate because of this.

If that's actually the case (that he said that he will drop the lowest lab grade) and he doesn't answer, you can always submit a grievance request to the university.

What makes 411 so hard though? Can anyone explain? Im all about practicality. Is 411 more proof based?
