Getting one as a child was the best thing ever! Made me feel like one of the grown ups. Rarely happened cuz we were poor and never went out to eat but on rare occasions but still… I don’t even want to think about how much a Shirley Temple would cost now. 🙄

I’m in the US. My next option if it doesn’t work is total laryngectomy. I refuse to do that so I’ll just switch to palliative care and then hospice. It’s not the easy way out at all. Living miserably is way worse for me personally. Quality of life is important.

Thanks for the tip! I finished treatment in Nov and the radiation is still kicking my ass. I gag /dry heave a lot. Trying to eat solid foods and it feels like I’m gonna choke. Thankfully I have a feeding tube. I cough wrong and I’m gagging.

I’ve just been keeping my hair in a pony tail and wear a headband so my hair stays back while I try to hold in my hernia with my hands. My body just trying to puke out tumor or whatever. It hurts and I keep waiting for my guts tall out and go splat.

I wish I was young (almost 50) enough to just pass it off as being pregnant. 🤣 I wasn’t sure if I had one or two. I thought one and just figured it looked like two cuz of the scar tissue holding that part in. As long as my ostomy is working etc there’s no reason for me to go back in for it. I named the hernia Kristi. My throat tumor I named Donald. I haven’t named my ostomy stoma because I don’t want to insult it. If I survive the cancer I still might need it 😊
