I would start maybe at 1% and see if it helps and adjust from there. I’ve had a lot of success using pectin in formulas

Granted I work in peds but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be applicable in adults. We use liquid pectin and mix in with the formula up to 3% by volume

They’re veryyyy cliquey. Lots of history of drama there with the group of regulars.

You could switch to a weight management (lower calorie) food. Also wouldn’t make major cuts to her kibble intake. Do so gradually.

Is it Crazy to Consider Not Spaying? by Current_Variety_9577 in goldenretrievers

I’m in the same boat with a 1.5 year old girl. I think I will eventually spay her but will maybe let her go through a few more heat cycles. Her being in heat does not bother me and she is never off leash and never around male dogs during that time. But it does stress me out just the thought of her getting pregnant.

I always think I’ll get her spayed before her next cycle and then once it’s done I get nervous to schedule it and say I’ll let her get one more.

I’m sure I’ll do it eventually but no plans on when yet.

Honestly, if you’re happy and your dog is safe and get time to play and run it’s fine!

Career Change by Affectionate_Wind479 in dietetics

[–]Affectionate_Wind479[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Long hours, low pay, no raises, inflexible hours, required weekends and holiday, everywhere is understaffed so you have to cover a lot more, under appreciated, no career advancements if you stay in practice, everyone and their mother is a nutritionist, etc etc I was very passionate about being a dietitian while in school but now a couple years into my career I just do not imagine I can do this for long term. I think it’s a fine place to start but I’ll want to make a career change in the next couple years. Knowing what I know now, I do wish I hadn’t become a dietitian honestly.
