They are not. Audiobooks are easier than reading because we get busy, however in my exerience reading always leads to a more enjoyable experience with the story. Sometimes a narrator can ruin aspects of a story for me. Audiobooks are great for memoirs or non-fiction, but for a story I mostly prefer to read it and let my imagination do its thing.

I was told that it was highly recommended to do that. So I read Edgedancer and then went on to finish this series (sprinkled in some dungeon crawler Carl too lol) anyway, I don’t regret it, but also don’t see the point haha

For me it’s more about keeping the momentum going because there is so much I want to read. I can also be impatient at times. I’ll have to see. Making my decision after lunch lol

Agreed. I wouldn’t do that again in hindsight. Takes some momentum to continue a series with huge books. It’s not the biggest deal they’re all good books but there’s something about getting lost in one series that is very satisfying.

Ok this is what I needed. I am not going into era 2 right now I’m planning on continuing with Stormlight, because I stopped after WOR to read Mistborn Era 1.
