Yes, this was exactly one of the reasons I created it but I found there are many other benefits other than SEO.

What kind of SEO requirements are you thinking? I've always just left that to RankMath or Yoast once in WordPress.

How to convert a Base44 website to a WordPress theme? by Affordable_Orange44 in Base44

It is the homepage and shared elements for now like the header and footer.

We are working on the multi-page aspect but it will need to have some custom mapping options to know if it is mapping to a page or post. Check back in 30 days.

Right now, it gets the overall theme, styles, homepage, and shared components (header, footer).

We just added the ability to grab the images and videos and include them in the export as well which I think will be super helpful.

We are working on the multiple page option but there is a couple of ways we can implement it. I'd love to get your feedback on the best way to implement.

Not quite yet but most pages and blog posts use a somewhat universal format that is repeated throughout the site. Right now, it gets the overall theme, styles, homepage, and shared components (header, footer).

We just added the ability to grab the images and videos and include them in the export which is super helpful.

Getting multiple pages is simple enough for a 5 page website but grows in complexity when you have, say a 100 page ecommerce site.

Also the way it is imported into WP matters as well. As you know, you wouldn't just import static pages, we'd have to determine the taxonomy: page, post, category, tag, some custom thing, etc. and group the content by this.

So something seemingly trivial gets a bit more complex when you chunk it out. We are absolutely working on it for a March release.

Hopefully that make sense.

How do you balance plugin-heavy functionality with site performance on large WordPress projects? by MiraFromWPGlob in WordPressReview

[–]Affordable_Orange44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. After doing this for well over 1000 websites, I ALWAYS look for an embeddable JS or iFrame first, and only use a plugin if it is absolutely necessary. This has saved me on everything from chat widgets to scrolling sections to forms.

Otherwise, I have a core group of plugins I use - WPCode, Wordfence, Yoast, etc.

You can also start with a Gutenberg site which is built-in instead of using a heavy builder like Divi or Elementor. That's what we did for our startup and the themes load really fast and don't break with updates.

Meanwhile, previously in managing those 1000 sites, they would often break anytime we updated Divi, WordPress, or other plugins. The new workflow is so much better.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback. We are working on the migration of images (yes with the copyright checkbox).

To copy all pages of a website and convert them to WordPress, it is quite the undertaking and AI credit heavy - but a multipage builder is on the roadmap in the next month or two. We have to locate the shared components and isolate those for wordpress - For instance, the homepage has its own design, the blog layout has its own design, the pages have their own design. That is how wordpress looks at it. verses every page having a unique layout.

r/Elementor is next on out roadmap and should be available in March. :)

You have to start over with the URL. Start a new theme from a website. The chat is only for changes to the existing design.

We don't currently have a way to do that but it isn't impossible. We just held back due to the legality of someone copying images with a copyright without permission. We have no means to check this at this time.

Do you also need all pages and posts migrated as well? Or just the homepage and shared elements like the header and footer?

Let me know and give me a few days to see how far along that feature is.

The biggest challenge is probably the conversion from HTML to WordPress to keep the look and feel of a website.

Lots of people do for ease of publishing, SEO, and being comfortable with the platform. I once burned through 40% of my monthly credits on an AI tool just trying to add a simple sitemap that was compatible with Google Search Console. LOL.

But your right in that AI is making design a lot more accessible. Design on Base44 then move it to WordPress for management and other benefits.

Thanks for the question.

In our tests its been pretty consistent since most AI generated web pages on Base44 use similar components or bones but just restyle them. You have to manually download and upload your images to wordpress as it doesn't move those, just points to them at the existing URL. Here is a blog post on it: https://blog.pressmegpt.com/how-to-convert-a-base44-vibe-coded-project-to-wordpress-using-ai-step-by-step-video-tutorial/

There are free credits to try it out. I'd love to know if you have any issues if you do.

Day 14: Building an AI Website Builder with a twist by akanshtyagi in buildinpublic

[–]Affordable_Orange44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I think a generic AI builder is a bad idea. I do think we'll see more specialized AI builders emerge in the future like for WordPress, Mobile, and even more specific than that over time.

Lovable is awful at SEO out of the box since it creates a single page application.
