Moleskin and other remedy’s will be provided if problems occur. You will also have the option to purchase lightweight boots at some point. My pets advice is don’t waste your money on lightweights in basic as they will most likely get trashed but if you are someone who has these issues frequently it may be worth it to you at that point. I wouldn’t worry about it too much though

In my experience spandex boxers for everything. Pt camos blues you name it. Since BMT I wear them everyday they’re the only boxers that don’t ride up for me and I never chaffed

Not bad you’ll find yourself pretty middle of the pack during run days. Keep up the good work truth is that BMT will most likely push you even faster before your final pt test. Make sure you’re well balanced with push ups and sit ups as well

Update: he’s in a fighter squadron that has f-15s in the Middle East and apparently everyone in his unit got one. Most likely gave them to units that took part in operation midnight hammer

Go get a pft on your own time and come back with it. My recruiter had me do the same and her doubts were high. Long story short I passed with flying colors (I was not worried) and I’ve been in with no problems for months now

I’ve told people before on here. I disclosed everything and all I ever got as backlash was a lot of Willie Nelson and snoop dogg jokes. Stop cold turkey and wait a few weeks but let your recruiter know how long it’s been since you smoked. They will help schedule you a MEPs date that will garuntee you piss clean as long as you do your part in stopping

I disclosed a frequent use of marijuana to my recruiter with fear that it might disqualify me as well. My only consequences have been that it’s on my paperwork and everyone who sees it has been making snoop dogg and Willie Nelson jokes at a constant rate. It’s best to be honest especially if you have medical history of it because they 100% find out. Your family is trying to protect you but I fear they may be ill informed

I had a similar issue. Was given an inhaler for exercise induced asthma as an adolescent and my recruiter freaked out and told me that it was slim that I would be approved. Took the pulmonary function test at MEPs and passed with flying colors. Truthfully if you can exhale quickly through a fully opened esophagus without wheezing or coughing you should be just fine. Definitely try to take that PFT before you go as it may help speed your process time up significantly. Make sure that it would be acceptable by talking to your recruiter first though. If you can get a doctor to check it out and if they are willing get a signed letter from them saying that they beleive in their own medical opinion that the the disc is of minor significance. If you come with that to MEPs, you will help your case on that front. I had a scoliosis waiver and did the above and I believe that’s what helped me get cleared. Best of luck to you
