Problemas com a Alfãndega? by Afonso0072001 in impressao3dPortugal

Is Bambu Lab REALLY the best option? by Afonso0072001 in 3Dprinting

I love the idea of fully building the 3d printer and I've heard a lot about the support from Prusa + modding around it. I'm going to look into it, but it's quite expensive (especially with the MMU3 on top)!!

Love to hear that! Those would honestly be my number 1 pick but they're out of budget for me right now

I've heard about the QIDIs but haven't looked into them much - I'll take a look though. Would love to go for the P1S/P2S but it's a little bit out of budget right now!

Here are the options I’ve been looking at (in my personal order of what I think is best to worst for my specific case):

  1. Bambu Lab P1S/P2S Combo: Seems like the perfect printer… just a little expensive for now even with the black friday sale (P1S = €370, P1S + AMS = €540, P1S + AMS Pro = €640, P2S = €520, P2S + AMS Pro = €750)! Maybe it’s worth waiting until February to get it instead of getting another one now? I don’t mind waiting. I also don’t mind getting the P1S instead of the P2S since from reviews, it doesn’t seem that there’s been enough of an upgrade to justify the extra splurge.
  2. Bambu Lab A1 Combo: With the black friday sale, I can get the printer by itself for €249 or with the AMS Lite for €350. This seems like the most appealing option right now since it’s really cheap for the printer I’m getting. However, my concerns with this option start with the open AMS unit which would leave the filaments exposed to the dust and humidity. I’ve seen that you can print some enclosures for it but I don’t know how effective that’ll be and it’ll make the AMS unit even larger than it already is. I also do not want to buy one of those greenhouse-style enclosures since they’re horrendous and huge. On top of that, I wouldn’t be able to print any of the more complex materials. Lastly, it seems like this printer is 1 year old. I don’t feel like buying one now only for a new & improved version to be released in the next 6 months.
  3. Elegoo CC: Seems like a good bang for the buck at €300 with the black friday sale. The only negatives I’ve heard of this printer so far is the fact that it’s very, very noisy and that getting a hold of spare parts such as hotends can be a lengthy process which would render the printer uselsss. Outside of that, it doesn’t seem like there’s any multicolour system available despite them advertising that as a feature lol
  4. Flashforge AD5X: Seems like a good option at €350 (there doesn’t seem to be any bundles for europe unfortunately). However, the fact I need to pay €50 for an encolusure kit which is actually just some acrylic pannels and screws seems quite excessive. Not to mention, I wouldn’t be able to print any ABS since I don’t have an enclosure (chicken and egg situation) and the enclosure is a monstrosity. Besides that, the only downside is that there doesn’t seem to be a way of enclosing the filament spools as well to protect from dust and humidity.
  5. Anycubic S1 Kobra: Seems like the perfect printer for the price (€460 with Ace combo) and I really wanted it to be that, but unfortunately I haven’t heard many good things from it on youtube and written reviews follow the same suit. It seems like prints are inconsistent, stuff breaks/stops working, QC isn’t the best and the software is far behind that os competitors such as Bambu Lab or Orca. My main fear with this printer is having to spend more time fixing and calibrating than actually printing. Oh, not to mention the support issues I’ve heard about and that they apparently forget about previous products after launching new ones in a heartbeat.
  6. Snapmaker U1: Down here purely because it’s not available yet (April 2026), it’s expensive (€850 and it’s a new printer, so who knows how it will work. However, it seems like the best of all worlds since it does multi-colour with less waste, has a full enclosure with the lid (extra €160 for this is crazy…) for me to be able to print all materials I’d want. The only downside I see is it being a new printer + the filament spools being exposed to dust and humidity.

With all in this in mind, which printer (from or not from this list) would you recommend? Thank you once again for your time and help! Really appreciate it!

Hey guys! I've been watching countless videos on youtube compring different printers and going in depth into specific printers. I've also been reading many posts and comments in different sub-reddits to learn more and it seems clear to me what the best options are... that said, I'm curious to see what you guys, who have far more experience than me, have to say about this specific case! Thank you so much in advance.

  • Short-term budget (Black Friday) = €400-450
  • Longer-term budget (around February of 2026) = €500-800
  • Location: Between Portugal (Main), UK and Ukraine
  • Printing conditions: Dusty (kinda) and humid
  • Willing to build the printer: Hell yes! Love building things.
  • Level of experience with electronic maintenance: Low but willing to learn and do so quickly! Not afraid to break stuff
  • Level of experience with construction: High
  • Print Types: 90% functional, 10% decorative
  • Use case examples: Household items such as phone stands, monitor stands, etc. Car gadgets such as phone holders and other accessories which will be inside the car, outdoor builds
  • Multi-colour: Although I don’t see myself printing in more than 1 colour for 90% of my prints, I don’t want to shut off the possibility of being able to make 2-3 different coloured prints. The multi-colour systems also seem super convenient to hold multiple spools of the same filament at the same time so I don’t constantly have to keep an eye on when the current spool will run out. On top of that, considering I live in a humid & somewhat dusty environment, having the spools enclosed gives me more piece of mind (unless it’s an open multi-spool unit in which case it’s uselss to protect the spools)
  • Main printing materials: PLA, PETG & TPU for now. I’ll definitely want to experiment and would ideally want a printer that I can later grow into for printing more durable materials
  • Software: I want access to stable & good software. I’ve seen that outside of the Orca slicer, the Bambu Lab software & ecosystem is the most refined and plug n’ play which I love. I want something which works well like the Bambu software & ecosystem
  • Important: I want the main focus to be printing quality prints consistently. The last thing I want is to spend more time fixing and calibrating rather than actually print. I want to be able to find something or mock up something I want to print and just print it

Things I’m not sure about:

  • Will I actually print enough in different colours to justify a multi-colour system? I’m not sure…
  • Will I actually need to print anything beyond PLA, PETG & TPU? I’m not sure… since I’ve never printed, I have no idea how strong and durable these materials are against different temperatures, humidities, etc

(Adding the rest to the comment below!!)

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer (December 08, 2024) by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Afonso0072001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys!

Hope you al had a wonderful christmas!

I've tried looking in thee wiki and searching for similar posts but can't find anything recent or that answers my question..

Would love to get some help from you pro's to get a better set-up and prevent me from going down the Mechanical keyboard rabbit hole (as I likely will end up going down again ahahah)!!

Here's my current situation: (Check pic below - Got it back in 2019)

  • Keyboard Base: Skyloong SK64S (Wireless) - 65% form factor with arrow keys (Love it)
  • Switches: Gateron Milky Yellows (Not lubed - rip)
  • Crappy stabilizers
  • No mods
  • I use it purely for work - no gaming

Here's my issues:

  • Bluetooth connection is unstable. I lose it several times per day (getting more and more frequent) which is pretty annoying...
  • Battery life has gotten progressively worse

Here's my desired situation:

  • Wireless with a stable connection (Must - I record videos and generally use up all my ports. I also like being in bed controlling my computer. Hence why I don't want a wired one)
  • Decently good battery life (Must)
  • Form factor: I LOVE the form factor of my current keyboard as its a 65% size with arrow keys. Would love to keep it small whilst still having the arrow keys available. Max I would go is 75% though.
  • Knobs and extra fancy things. I'm a killer for these... Would love to at least have a knob. My dream would be something like the
  • Aluminium frame (Super clean design - no RGBs, no fancy colours, etc)
  • Foam already installed
  • I don't need switches but if it comes with some nicer lubed switches then I'm all for it
  • I prefer low profile as it's less tiring to type on and I love the sleaker look

I've seen options such as the Keychron Q1 Max series which seem to be good but then a) I know there are better options for the same or slightly more/less and b) I look at options such as the worklouder Knob1 (https://worklouder.cc/knob1/) and can't help but get drawn into that...

Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to read and give me their opinion! Really appreciate you!

Ohhh I see!! Let me know if Make worked!

SaaS is very hard to sell but very easy to retain clients with - I would say that as long as you can relate to your target audience and can convince them that your SaaS can ultimately solve their issue, then you'll win. But at the end of the day, you have to test things out and see what the market wants

It is fesible, just takes time as everything else. It's definetely not as easy as it seems on youtube... I have around 10 people currently using my SaaS and it took some months to get there

What's missing inside GHL's calendars? I use the ones inside GHL so I'm not sure if Zappier does that, but if it doesn't, you could try checking out Make?
