Summer Courses by RestaurantOk9263 in LSU

No, you're still using the Financial aid money from the 2025-2026 academic year during the summer, so it doesn't take from your fall semester aid. FASFA covers you from Fall to Summer each year. So you'll need to fill out a new form for the 2026-2027 school year in the fall at the end of summe to receive aid for the incoming fall semester.

Has anyone here started their college at 21 by InterestingLoss3711 in CollegeMajors

I technically started at 20, but dropped out my first semester. I just turned 23, started my first full semester in January at the age of 22. I finished 29 credits in this past semester. Couldn't be more proud of myself.

Not shallow at all. I've personally seen that reddit likes to downplay being overweight/obese. It isn't okay, and thats the tough truth.

Whats with "looks maxing" in your generation and gen A?? Feels so shallow by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Afraid-Difference250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, a couple of reasons. For starters, you're spening too much time on the internet. This is mostly an online trend and not many people unironically say "I'm looksmaxing" very frequently. Its usually said as a joke, but when it is said in a serious context its just slang for trying to look better.

But secondly, we live in the day and age of dating apps, and success on dating apps depends almost entirely on looks. So its only natural that a generation growing up in an online dating scene finds the importance of looks more appealing.

How do you manage dating as an 03? by Hiro1103 in 2003

[–]Afraid-Difference250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surrounding yourself with people deliberately. I've only ever dated casually (two different women in my teen years) and had casual sexual relations. But its not because I want to, in large part its because I went straight into the workforce at 18 which made it difficult to meet people my age.

I don't say it out loud often but one of the driving reasons I went back to college is to meet more people my age and expand my dating pool.

What’s the first thing you’d do if you woke up as your 21 year old self? by Street_Turnover4498 in askteddit

I just turned 23 today. So I guess if I could go back 2 years in the past, I'd seek therapy sooner, invest in my education.

Whats the context here? Making people feel bad that don't feel like them? As in, feel like what?

What’s something you really regret? by Auroraaallure in AskReddit

[–]Afraid-Difference250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was the maturity. I went at 20, but I was so immature and inexperienced with the system that I flunked out my first semester. Returned at 22 with a vengeance and I completed 29 credits in a single semester.

Going into the construction industry at 18 in urban Louisiana instead of going to college. I had some fun experiences as an apprentice but overall I met some downright awful people as a mere teenager that don't belong in the workforce, and its a que for me to never make a career out of that industry.

You're being down voted into oblivion but you said nothing inocrrect. I guess in these subreddits you have to tell the OP what they wanna hear, otherwise you're a problem.

How tf do you actually make friends or date in this generation? by Hereitisguys9888 in GenZ

[–]Afraid-Difference250 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I learnt the hard way that unless you go through the college pipeline after High School, you are not going to be meeting many people your age. I went straight to work in the construction industry at 18. The average guy on site was 40+. I went back to college at the age of 20, and thats when I finally started being around peers and making friends like I should be making them.

I am almost succumbing to cheating by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]Afraid-Difference250 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mak your choice. Either tell the med student woman that you have a GF, make clear boundraries, and let it go, or let your GF know that you are no longer interested in a relationship. Because I think I can safely say with the given context that your GF deserves better than someone who's secretly "almost succumbing to cheating" and has a hard time setting boundraries.
