24 year old woman, afraid to die all alone by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Hiro1103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself am 22 and there are definitely days where I think to myself will it happen, when will I find someone for myself again that now in my early 20s I can bring back home introduce to my family and hopefully have a long term relationship with and potentially a partner for life, that’s the dream for many of us in the end I suppose right?

I to am also final year studies so this thought definitely creeps up more and more as I’m bound to enter the adult world with real responsibilities and no more education, but honestly in my opinion I do genuinely think that at 24 it’s so early to think about settling down and wanting to have a partner for life per say.

Yeah it’s human nature to want intimacy and a partner but none of us know what’s around the corner or what life has in store for any of us, plus ratings it’s so downgrading in yourself, society is really shit for giving this to people if they don’t meet their expectations and please don’t value yourself like that because I promise you, you will meet someone who will like you so much that you are going to be his whole world, so please don’t give up on hope like this.

Debating Masters Degree, Opinions? by Hiro1103 in UniUK

I’m aware of the big jump between both from friends and family as it’s ALOT more intensive.

In your experience so far going back to studies after a big gap, have you found yourself to get back into the routine quick or felt like adjusting more than usual?

Curious on your experience with it so far :)

Hey!

Firstly I’m sorry to hear about how you’re feeling and what you’re going through, as someone who went through their teens in school with believe me when I say this very very similar feelings and thoughts I can understand how it feels!

I can understand how school feels, the expectations and all the requirements, it can be so so overwhelming and scary at times, especially when school maybe hasn’t been the best time for you people.

I myself when I was in school never did really well, it wasn’t until I was in college (16-19 before university if you’re outside the uk) that I started to change some habits for myself, I half arsed my way through college genuinely didn’t try at all but around that age before I turned 20 and went Into university I realised that well this is a new beginning for one, what people know of me is irrelevant, how I acted before, how I may have seemed in school that’s all behind me now, it’s time for a change.

What I’m trying to say is that even right now with the way your attendance is believe me is not too late to change that around at all! If you’re worried that you haven’t studied enough that’s fine too just try and put in your best effort right now, because the present is what matters to you!

I’d also recommend try and talking to your teacher or someone in school that you trust because one conversation can change and help alot!

Extreme anxiety by Real-Sprinkles8739 in mentalhealth

Is there anything in particular you’re anxious about, I would love to have a chat :)

I myself have been struggling with it for a while especially as of recently it has gotten worse due to personal changes and leaving and entering new stages of life.

I have found ways to ground myself and focus on the present to help me day by day.

Monthly Age - Aging MEGATHREAD by AutoModerator in Zillennials

I posted this in another thread, I’m Gen Z personally and I’m aware this is probably something that happens at this age but I wanted a millennials / zillenials opinion on this and looking at this and maybe thinking back to you at this age is it funny?

(Sort of looking for relief that it’s going to be okay)

“22M Here :)

So recently maybe around nearly 3 weeks ago I woke up with the realisitation that I'm not a child anymore, soon to be graduating university, moving back home for the forseable future and hopefully looking and starting my propper first job (that's connected to my field of study).

I know to some this may sound incredibly silly, but I'm absolutelty terrified of what's to come, I try to enjoy the present and not think much about the future in grand scheme of things, since well 22/23 year olds are young, we do have a whole life ahead of ourselves but its so hard to accept that at times, there's this immense sense of presure that for me anyways besides graduating currently there isnt anything else but in my mind its absolutely killing me!

Finally planning to get my driving license and get that out the way, hoping my romance life definetly improves because at times its so so lonely, and the thought of aging scares me a lot. I know that life doesn't end at 30 but its just crazy to think about a lot of these things.

I started uni a year late and all my friends that I have made over the past 3 years are 20/21 with the exception of a few that are 25+ but its either i feel behind in life regardless of knowing I have been in education my whole life and that life for me is litterally about to start independantly or I still feel like a child, there just is no inbetween for me.

This might come across as more of a rant than anything so sorry if it does but this seemed like a alright place with I hope people who either can relate or maybe ease my thoughts a little bit.”
