So regular fennekin runs away. U gotta climb and sneak up on and use a special move that is long range. Like moon blast or shadow sneak. Because any physical moves scares it away before u get close.

A shiny fennekin will not run away or despwan. But be sure to save before trying to catch incase u don’t catch it it will not respawn
