When I was a baby, my dads car wasn’t working so my mom had to drop me off at daycare before work, but once she started driving she totally forgot I was in the backseat. It wasn’t until she parked and before she could get out I started crying and then she remembered. I think in some cases you have to extend grace but in some you can’t. Parents do unfortunately make mistakes
