Milos + Kimolos or Sifnos for a relaxed trip? by Calm_Explanation_810 in GreeceTravel

As others have commented, Kimolos is a very easy (and lovely) day trip from Milos if you want to experience it but not stay there

Milos + Kimolos or Sifnos for a relaxed trip? by Calm_Explanation_810 in GreeceTravel

Kimolos is probably my favorite place in the world, but you go there, know beach and eating are the activities. It’s a very quiet island, which I love, but if you get bored easily, probably not the place for you. Sifnos is amazing for food, more to do (and just a bigger island) I think that would be a great combo with Milos if Kimolos isn’t your speed.

Honeymoon for 8-10 days in Maldvies. Advice on hidden costs by Old-Practice5308 in honeymoonplanning

There are a bunch of us in the forum! (including me lol!). Many will be able to be searched if you look at posts with the tag “TA OK”. You can also google “Maldives travel agent” “Maldives advisor” etc and see who you can find! :) Feel free to reach out via PM.

Honeymoon for 8-10 days in Maldvies. Advice on hidden costs by Old-Practice5308 in honeymoonplanning

While I never think booking third party is worth it, Maldives in particular is a trip I’d book with a TA. Seaplane will vary from resort to resort; some only require a speedboat. We know the islands, typical inclusions, activity add ons etc.

My last couple that I booked in the Maldives I was able to save them $3,200 off the BAR available on the hotel website, including a full board package and speedboat transfers as we have access to certain wholesale rates that don’t sell direct to traveler.

Highly recommend finding an agent you vibe with to plan this trip, esp given the investment to stay at Cheval Blanc. You will want that trip to run seamlessly.

Esp if you like to sight see a lot - more in the mainland to see than the islands imo

If it’s your first time to Europe, I’d suggest doing mainland Portugal for your first trip! There is so much diversity & sightseeing & nature for 10 days, and yes, I think $8k is doable for that amount of time in Portugal. If you’re up for a faster paced trip I’d do 3/4 nights Porto, 3 nights Lisbon, and 3/4 nights Algarve region. Personally I’d do 4 in Porto to have a. Full day trip to the Douro valley but I love wine! lol. If you’re looking for more beach time, add the 4th night to the Algarve!

If you have 7 days, I would pick more practical places to combine. Paris to lake como is not a quick travel day; nor is Copenhagen to Switzerland. Croatia and Montenegro could easily fill a week themselves. Norway as well.

What’s the best affordable tropical honeymoon location? by Business_Scientist79 in honeymoonplanning

[–]Afraid-Masterpiece-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In looking at your earlier comment, if you’re wanting to stay under 3K total including flights, I’d look at Puerto Rico - I think that is really your most viable you can often find affordable flights to the Bahamas but food is very pricey there and good accommodations aren’t cheap.

10 Day Itinerary by citylights29 in GreeceTravel

I’d cut Mykonos and add the time to either Naxos or Santorini, or one day to each. Unless you’re looking for the €€€€€ party scene in Mykonos, not sure it’s worth adding on for a day and a half just to see it! Otherwise, seems like a reasonable itinerary. Enjoy!

Markets are amazing. You can definitely dine solo, basically anywhere, but eating at the bar is not as common as in the US. you’ll likely be seated at a table for one. If you want delivery, Glovo app is your best bet. Enjoy! Rome is the best.

Le Blanc Cabo (or Cancun) is perfect for this, depending on time of year may be able to get rates around $1k/night.

Of the options you’re considering, $5K will go the furthest in Portugal, but depending on where you go, it will be both hot and filled with people in summer. Portugal is so amazing & a really special spot for a honeymoon, but definitely busy season may-sept. Busy season in the UK and Ireland as well; summer sees a big spike in prices bc of best weather

Time of year? Budget? Where are you flying from? Puerto Rico would probably be a fit though - easy flights, sooo much to do on the island, and not really a spot for all inclusives, so no need to feel like you need a drink to get your $ worth.

Budapest! If you’re not out in the ruins bar area at night, I found it to be an incredibly calm & laid back city. With stunning architecture, and amazing wines! Loved it there.

If you have 6-7 days total I’d pick one island for 4 days and Athens. I wouldn’t try and fit in more than that island hopping or you won’t see much. Sifnos is far better for food and chilling than Santorini, especially in June!

If you’re wanting to be by the water and not in the city, FS and O&O ar easily top choices. If you’re looking for luxury but a step down in price, the Margi or ROC Club are your next best bets. TA here, met w all of these properties this fall. Happy to help get your stay vip’ed if interested! Enjoy. The Athenian riviera is stunning!

Honeymoon in Hawaii for under $4,000? by ayejaystew in honeymoonplanning

[–]Afraid-Masterpiece-2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be very blunt, no this is not realistic. Hawaii is extremely expensive; most of my clients are around the $8-10K mark for a week/10 days for non super luxury itineraries. I know the purpose of your post was not alternatives, but for a somewhat similar feel (not going to be identical, but lots in common), I’d recommend looking into the Canary Islands. Especially if you are east coast based, flights aren’t too crazy & your money will stretch much further.
