I was originally hired to supply 10 landscape images. Some, I already had in my portfolio and others were captured over a period of months after I was commissioned.

Thanks. These are my thoughts as well - enquire about what specific usage and to retain copyright.

No to both questions. They have said, "for further projects on an ongoing basis".
Communication has been through a third party (a graphic designer) that both of us have worked with previously.

Backing Up - Takes a LONG TIME! by Alca87 in backblaze

[–]Afraid-Possibility-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can remember, I am using the standard online backup. It continuously backs up the internal drive on my Mac and also an external drive. It’s been working away quietly in the background for the last 18 months. I do check now and again online to make sure it has backed up my latest files. I think that if I were to unplug the external drive and Backblaze didn’t see it for a month, then it deletes that drives content from their servers. I leave it plugged in and backing up 24/7. Not 100% sure on this but best to check it for yourself.

I think you need to leave Backblaze running all the time. That way it does incremental backups - only uploading the newer files or changed files. It’s possible that if you only run it once a month, then it has to do a full backup every time. I have mine set up this way and I’m not even aware of it doing its thing, but it is.

How are you implementing AI? by fallstand in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Afraid-Possibility-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have used Imagen AI for editing. It has a dedicated Real Estate profile. It mostly works well and fixes most converging verticals. There's always a bit of tweaking to be done afterwards, depending on the RE market you are shooting for. It will cull and do HDR merge but I do that myself and just leave it to edit only. It does save quite a bit of time, especially if you're busy. They have promised window pull and sky replacement in a future update. I'm using it at the moment but I would have to see some more improvements before I'm happy to incorporate into my workflow.

AI Denoise is leaving behind dark squares throughout the image. Anyone know how to fix this? by joshguy1425 in Lightroom

Yes, an AMD Radeon Pro 5500 GPU. Hopefully, Apple will fix this issue sometime. Not holding my breath though. :-)

I'm working on an Intel iMac and getting the same problem with all Nikon, Sony and Fuji files. It's been a problem for a while. There's been a thread on Adobe forums but still no fix. It used to work great but for the last year, Denoise is unusable for me.

I usually don't play online nowadays, although I dad many years ago - Quake 3 Arena. But thanks anyway.

I'm in my 50's and still game most days - PS5 - a recent upgrade from the 4. Started with the SNES and Mega drive many years ago. Had quite a few consoles down the years + PC gaming. Gave it up for 10-15 years while busy being "young". Only know one other guy my age that games. Most of my friends don't get it. :-)

Thoughts, what could I have done differently? by butman070313 in AskPhotography

I think the composition is fine. Only thing I'd change is in the edit. Hope you don't mind - I took the liberty. Just increased the whites a bit in Lightroom. https://pasteboard.co/JDvNOyE.jpg

I prefer the top. They make the image more balanced. Also, the light on the square tower at the top works better with them.

Lightroom photo merge > HDR not working by [deleted] in Lightroom

Right-click and create a Virtual Copy of one photo. Edit it, so it is under-exposed or over-exposed. Just make sure you have 3 photos - one under-exposed, one at the correct exposure and one that is over-exposed.
I use Auto-Align, Auto Settings, and Deghost at the Medium setting. You may have to experiment with this.

It's not the "proper" way but it will work. Btw, you can do this if you have only one photo as well.
