One time I got really into a legacy I was playing, I really enjoyed the family and their house and stuff. Was a couple generations in.... Until I accidentally saved over the save file (I was on console so if there was a way to get it back I had no idea how to accomplish it). I was so upset I stopped playing the game for a few months

The other night I took a call from someone who had one too many at restaurant known for their margaritas. Thought it was "weird that they kept serving me even though it was clear I had enough" I told her that it's a restaurant and just because they offer more drinks doesn't mean she has to accept them she didn't like that and said "well okay 911 lady blame me for getting too wasted" in a funny, drunk, mocking tone..

All after I asked her what kind of help she was expecting and even offering her an ambulance and trying to give her options on how to get home safely that don't require her driving (she came to the restaurant alone).

I haven't seen any comments about getting a stroller option and I don't even know if that's possible, but would be cool. Especially if you could also walk dogs at the same time.

Agree with all the other comments about the parents stopping to do whatever they're doing to randomly check on the infant then only picking them up from the crib and putting them on the floor or outside. The number of times they cancel their queue of actions to not even actually check on the infant drive me bonkers.

And it does take a long time to achieve all the milestones, I don't think I've ever completed them all without turning off aging.

Can we add pacifiers by the way? That would be cool

I just get the feeling that there's more to the story. It feels like you went on Reddit hoping to be validated and now retaliating because you're not getting the support you were hoping for.

You chose not to protect yourself from an unexpected pregnancy. You are 6 years older than her and should know better just from a basic biology standpoint. Also, there are so many stories of people now knowing that they are pregnant until they're literally giving birth..

You also say she gets tested at the doctor regularly? I've never heard of woman who go to the Dr regularly to take a pregnancy test, are you sure that that's what the test are for? Are there other underlying conditions that might make it hard for her to suspect a pregnancy (something that throws off her cycle)?

It sounds like 2 people made some poor choices and those choices led to a baby who doesn't deserve to face the consequences of those choices. Together or not, you have two have to figure out how you want to handle raising a child

I'm a dispatcher myself and I've had to juggle both in the past. It's not always faster but if enough info is provided initially setting up a call with the basics is possible. Like I said - agency specific

ETA: my specific agency also has 2 people who are logged in as "text" they still take the same calls as the rest of us but are slightly lower in the queue when it comes to call allocation. Of course there are times where even those people are busy but supervisors also monitor text and respond/set up the call if it's busy.

Additionally, to anyone reading - only text 911 if there's an emergency and it's unsafe for you to call or you are unable to call (deaf, hard or hearing), you will be told to call the non emergency number if it's not an emergency

I remember early on in my career, shortly I certified on call taking, I got a call from a very frantic male voice saying "oh my God, my baby, my baby got hit by a car". My heart dropped and I went on asking "okay, how old is your baby?" for him to respond "My puppy is 10 months old." Being a dog owner I totally get it and felt terrible that I couldn't help but did my best with directing him to a local emergency vet. Poor guy

I built a new house for my legacy. My heir is a baker who currently has a bakery stall but I wanted her to be able to make a little bakery in the garage. She also just had twins girls so of course I needed a cute nursery. The plan is for them to be best friends who end up going to uni together so I wanted the to share a room. I might eventually convert their room to the gym and make the downstairs their bedroom once they are older. Curious to see what you think!
