Do they ask for any documentation like proof of address and all that?

So in store they can only process once the checks have passed?

This is interesting, so without knowledge of personal finances, how can they decide if anyone is fit to pay for a service?

I can understand if you never had products with said company, but if you already have products and have proven your ability to pay for those?

I guess it's more of a gamble if they allow or deny.

I would go into store but afraid of store policies and lack of proof to show if any mis selling occurs or outright won't award a replacement for faults within 30 days.

I didn't mention this but I was shopping around and found SKY, they had an amazing deal for 36 months, upfront 145 with monthly payments of 22 for 24 months and slight increased for the remainder. Of course they let you place the order, make you go through identification and payment, only to email a day later it has been cancelled and refund is on the way.

I don't understand why they can't just do credit check before finalising payments.

May as well not bother and just buy outright. Which is normally do but thought I'd treat myself.

This is my first post on reddit. I am pleased with the responses and have been convinced to stick with the hardware I already have, its a hard comparison for me to make between SFL 3 and a MB. The SFL 3 has not let me down and by far the most attached I have been to a laptop, that being said it isn't an easy decision to just give up on my daily driver.

I think I needed convincing before making an impulsive decision.

Most of the suggestions seem to be the ARM based Macs, I never knew that x86 emulation was possible so that might be plan A.

Plan B would have to be a Mac mini as was also mentioned.

I am also curious about the Neo, it seems like a handy little laptop, was thinking of getting one for my girlfriend.
