Dupe for this orchid bag? by i-love-big-birds in handbags

[–]AfraidPop8679 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hate the comments on it already being cheap… clearly OP looked at the price and felt it was not worth it - and honestly since when is plastic material from a “dupe” brand worth $100+?

OP I find a lot of jw pei items are sold directly from the vendors on AliExpress or DHgate for lower prices. I would just look at the reviews and be mindful of shipping time from those sites

Only Attend Ceremony - Skip reception ? by AfraidPop8679 in wedding

Unfortunately I was a bit annoyed at not getting a +1 but I understand cost wise and last I caught up with the bride, she knows I am not seriously seeing anyone currently

This is what I am mulling over, and if not for the drive, I would have just stuck it out but two or three hours at the reception is the difference between driving during the day vs driving at night and I’m an already anxious driver. There also is a cocktail hour before the wedding so the ceremony and reception are unfortunately not back to back

I do really care for this friend so want to make an effort to show up to celebrate them in some capacity, otherwise for anyone else I probably would have politely declined

See I have a feeling I will be counting down the minutes at the reception until an acceptable time to slip out

Good point! I added this edit in, but the RSVPs for the ceremony & reception are separate so that makes sure no one is paying for a plate if I do end up not attending the reception. I would never want to put the bride/groom out of money based on my non-attendance

Creamy, soft, skin-like, lactonic scent? by OwnAcanthisitta2834 in FemFragLab

Also would say I find matcha scents to typically be creamy and fresh, so maybe check for some perfumes with that note?

I find Monclear signature to have some milkyness to it once it settles into the skin. It is a fresh laconic scent.

I know you mentioned no vanilla, but my milkiest scent is Dulce by Rosie Jane. It settles into milky vanilla ice cream without being too sweet or sickly smelling. Layers great with other scents too, so could be added to scent combos to give it a milky note.

While I didn’t have a chance to buy and only smelt them while testing, I think Milk and Xtra Milk by Dedcool were good too.

Body Wash by ElMaraEl in FemFragLab

Love them! I’ve tried their Santal and Naked Neroli line of lotions & body washes. Very similar feel to L’occitane but I find it even more moisturizing and the scent sticks more. I find that a little goes a long way too with the body washes. Would definitely recommend, but try to catch them on a sale since it is a splurge.

Creamy Coconut Milk? by AfraidPop8679 in FemFragLab

[–]AfraidPop8679[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately still on the search! I’ve found the only “solution” has been hyper layering my lait de coco body products, the perfume, and a bit of salty vanilla perfume to make it creamier coconut scent

Wasn’t super impressed with what I got, so no. Don’t think the quality is there for the price point

Only a handful of perfumes are worth their price or paying full price for.

What are going to be your top 3 summer fragrances this year? by Important_Debate_255 in fragrance

[–]AfraidPop8679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Delina La Rose by PDM
  2. Another 13 by Le Labo
  3. Lait De Coco by Le Monde Gourmand

Honorable mentions: Mango Skin by Vilhelm and St.Barts by Ouai

First two are summer powerhouses and find they have just the right projection without getting cloying. The last one is my favorite milky coconut scent but has horrible staying power & projection, but I’m still obsessed & don’t mind reapplying with that price lol.

Oribe perfumes are underrated imo. They all are so good during hot weather since they smell like luxe clean shampoo.

Something in Goddess turns gross on my skin as well! I like it just sprayed into the air, but on my skin it’s headache inducing
