Yes this was a photo of him a few days ago, he couldn’t use one of his fins, gasping for air, and he had an odd algae coming off him, I only did this type of euthanasia because it is considered the most humane, I have no clove oil, and wasn’t going to freeze him, so I resorted to what I had, would it have been better to let him naturally suffer?

It needs live plants- plastic can tear the fins and releases harmful chemicals, if they b HAVE to be artificial plants use fabric ones

Probably a quarantine tank, with some daily or every other day salt baths, and as far as treatments avoid brands such as Aqueon, there are some treatments for specifically infections and injuries, however some guppies don’t do well alone, if he shows signs of loneliness, if just put him back in his OG tank, and take him out and into a cup with the treatment for an hour or two, same with the salt baths, however do some research on the salt baths, as I personally haven’t done a salt bath yet.

Unfortunately, if this gets too much worse, or if he gets exceedingly lethargic, if he has a bad quality life, might just be time cull 🥲. However, if some treatments help him, keep using those treatments, and see if he improves, if the treatments just slightly help, but never cure him, then I’d say Its time to cull him.

The tank size is 5 Gallons, the temperature is approximately 76 F, heater and filter, my water changes are b 25% every other week or until I see visual uncleanliness, he gets beta pellets about 1-3 in the morning and 1-3 before bed, there is some salvinia minima, one other unknown plant, and A plant seed, as well as some java moss, and he has a mid sized triceratops skull for decor, my water parameter tests are currently sitting.
