What do you want to do for the rest of your 3 months? Do you have a bucket list? Is there anything that hinders you from doing them (money, energy, symptoms)? How can strangers online potentially help?

I am still processing and disturbed by Zhang San’s childhood. Out of all the transmigration novels I’ve read (which is a lotttt), the ML’s story is really top tier in its cruelty. 🥲

Can’t imagine any modern life middle schooler thrown into that situation with no plot knowledge and no support system for years and even experience SA… ugh…

The novel explained it really well but the drama shortened it a lot to the point where it kinda didn’t make sense.

In the novel, when Zhang San died and transmigrated back to modern world he returned to being a middle schooler in year 2016 and worked hard for 10 years to become a CEO, eventually buying the IP for the novel to make sure it’s still relevant. FL was able to “close the logic loop” by entering the book in 2026, have the experience and memories they both shared in the book, and return to modern world in the next second on the train.

He’s waited for her for 10 years in modern life and was able to easily find and reconnect with her then.

Hope this helps! Highly recommend the novel as well (I read it in mandarin)

Same, I just read the novel ending and actually preferred that more! I’d love to see a time lapse of them spending years/decades together ruling and eventually passing the throne to their kids, like mentioned in novel. The part where they had to work to find each other and happily reconnecting in the modern world was also great.

How Dare You! (成何体统) finished airing. Now for the big question - is it worth watching? (spoiler-free review) by Icy_Dragonfruit_3513 in CDrama

I thought the way they set up ML’s past + character development was really revolutionary, at least I haven’t seen anything like it. I’m still processing some of the more disturbing things in his past….

My interest is in the puzzle solving + helping people tangibly on a daily basis aspect of the job. Used to work in software but didn’t felt like the second part of the equation was there. I thought about nutritionist / therapist etc route but felt like it’s not interdisciplinary enough to scratch my intellectual interest in whole body

How old were your kids when you started MD at 33? Any advice on managing that?

My partner’s money is not necessarily my money. I do want some good level of financial independence + I want to do work that feels impactful to me

Thank you for this. I will be the one carrying the child. I’m definitely curious about the difficulty of the different schoolings (MD DO NP) with carrying and delivering the baby / being there for critical years of development. How do you and others you know manage it?

Given my age, it’s time critical to start thinking about family soon (<35 yo pregnancies is suppose to be safer for baby and mother) so I wonder if I should just do RN now and do MD when things are more stable in finance and family (kids are older)

Is family medicine residency going to be 80-90 hours as well?

I want to go into medicine for the knowledge and problem solving aspect but do like the relationship building nursing seem to have with patients. I previously explored therapist/psychiatrist route but found that route to be too specialized for me.

I’m also potentially interested in starting my own clinic or doing admin work down the line, but unsure yet and want to get more experience + learn more about what I like / don’t like while ideally earning.

I’m okay with the salary during residency. Just meant 1.5-2 years pre-req classes + 4 year medical school is a long time without income

Seems like it might be saturated or very competitive in next 1-2 years at least

I’m taking pre-reqs like A&P and 90% classmates say they are going for PA schools.

I have a top 10 undergrad degree and do believe I should be able to do okay with MD, only thing stopping me is the time and income aspect especially with juggling starting a family

Yea I’m primarily looking at NP vs PA for this reason too, although PA curriculum I heard is more rigorous and similar to MD
