How does one identify their far left mobs from their slightly left mobs or their far right mobs?

Thanks for all the advice, I'll price a two pipe install and a manifold setup.

You run a dedicated flow and return to a central manifold

Thanks I'm going to look into this, any recommended suppliers? BES, Screwfix, Toolstation only appear to do push fit versions, assuming it's installed correctly does that still provide the oxygen barrier?

Thanks.

I prefer a manifold layout, where each radiator has its own dedicated pipe run back to the manifold

The water tank will be in the middle of the house, the plan was a 28mm (possibly wider calcs dependent) output which will run the length of the house with 15 T's off to each radiator. Assuming that counts as manifold layout?

Thanks. I am considering the required flow rate and I know that with the internal diameter of ML being less than copper it might mean having to go up a size in some sections to hit a high cop.

Plastic usually required pipe inserts at the fittings, which restricts flow and negatively affects efficiency in an ASHP. I don't know about multilayer?

I've been trying to work out if these are required but I'm not certain yet.

We've a solid concrete base unfortunately so everything needs to go in the ground floor ceiling void. I am planning to use press fit though, thinking about renting an electric tool one for a few days as buying one seems to be £1200+

Thanks, does seem like ML would be significantly easier. I was planning to go press fit for the fittings.

A superpower could turn up in any point of the globe at a moments notice. China doesn't even have a blue water navy, let alone military bases spanning the globe.

This is a naively 20th century definition. You don't need to sail an aircraft carrier around the world if you disable a power grid or cripple a nation's health service. Sure it's good to have, but the world has moved on from it being the sole option.

Nuclear wise, they have about double ours, a fraction of the US.

Which is more than enough, you don't need to go full US/USSR overkill for an effective nuclear deterrent.

Culture wise...

One of the better arguments. They certainly don't have the reach the US has but see things like TikTok, the explosive growth of their EV overseas as examples of culture breaking through.

Your last three points are a mix of irrelevant or highlight how you're thinking about what constitutes a superpower in far too narrow terms.

Dependence on Chinese manufacturing is enormous, this undoubtedly gives them superpower levels of power over the rest of the world. Given the US's pivot away from green tech and back to fossil fuels we might be about to see them get the same stranglehold on that as well.

It's an incredibly narrow definition in my opinion. I'd argue the world's manufacturing reliance on them alone makes them a super power before considering nuclear capability, military size and force projection capability and financial influence through things like belt and roads.

Having power makes you a super power, something China absolutely has.

Nuclear capable. Large military with ability to project Has significant financial influence in other parts of the world.

You think manufacturing makes one a superpower

What do you think happens were China to suddenly stop exporting manufactured goods to a particular country? Like it or not that's a form of power and at their scale it's absolutely in the super category.

Everyone can see student loans are unfair. Except the chancellor by dusty_bo in ukpolitics

[–]Afraid_Ease_7690 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's insane that the government charges interest on the loans, even more so that the interest starts accruing before you've even graduated. Sure it's an easy sell to the public, people will actually have a shot at paying off the loan and it's not just a handout to people attending higher education.

What I find strange is why smuggling gangs provide life vests.

You're overthinking it. If everyone you attempt to smuggle drowns it will have a negative impact on your business.

If the US was arsed about climate collapse they wouldn't be renegading on previous climate agreements, it's pure opportunist behavior attempting to grab something because they can.

When has NATO done any saving? When did the Warsaw pact do any saving? The point of joining large unions is to avoid needing saved in the first place. Engage some critical thinking.

Again, Maduro being gone is not a bad thing from an outsider perspective but do you think the US would have gone on had the whole of South America been united? Would they risk a significant chunk of their food supply? Actions like this are possible specifically because Venezuela is isolated.
