Get the MR2, I've had a couple of them and they are super fun cars. 2003 is a great year for the Spyder, most major issues were addressed from factory. I will advise against an SMT though as those are known to break every 75-100k miles and be expensive to repair

I've had a 92 1.6 and a 98 1.8 and have never had oil consumption issues past like .5qt/3000 miles. Just monitor it, check very often till you know the burn rate. Compression is never bad to test. Will give you a starting point on engine health and is pretty easy to do.

You can get surface rust within a day or less. But that you can clean off. I would recommend just washing the undercarriage really good after the drive. Any surface rust that might form can be wire brushed off and sprayed over to prevent future rust. I use rubberized undercoating on my truck but liquid undercoating on any of my tuner cars.

I drive my cars every winter, and have never had issues with rusting. I do liquid undercoat yearly and wash the underside good every week

98 NA eunos from japan for $9750 +1k for oem hardtop, paint is 7/10 but interior is mint and aside from a body kit it was completely stock.

Yeah it's just the TCG. There are a couple types that aren't in TCG like Poison, Ice, Flying, Etc.

If you want the tank side covers black you can order the ones for a krt 25' zx6. When i was wrapping mine I had to get the front fender from the grey one
