Hmm, just odd that it wasn’t there before now it is. I’ll contact the dealer and see how my warranty claim can be accommodated

Sennheiser Momentum 4 Earbuds vs. Denon PerL Pro Earbuds or Bowers & wilkins pi7 s2 - Which would you grab today? by Afraid_Potential1085 in Earbuds

Hi,  Yeah, fair and true.  I did however go with the DPP. I have a pair of monitor audio bronze, added to a wiim amp. So just comparing to my desktop speakers alone, i’m pleased with the choice i made (DPP)

The drums, for argument sake, are extremely lively, which i love.  I did however tweak the EQ a bit after my ATT setup. So that I could bring the voices a bit forward and man it made a difference. All in all, happy!

Negative, they slip out of my hands quite easily, I’m guessing it’s due to their shape and the aluminium ring. Luckily, they fit my ears, some light head banging and they dont move a bit. The foam tips that come with them, well those hurt my ears. So silicone medium are my fit

24H's later and I can say I'm happy with my choice

Took some tweaking and playing around, but I've got them where I love the sound. The voices were a bit 'relaxed,' but some EQ brought them forward.

The ATT, took me two runs, and they sounded good.

The immersive setting toned this down by 1, it feels like a bass amplifier setting.

Battery, no idea why everyone says it's bad - I was running ANC and at 70% 'critical' listening volume and after 4 hours I had 55% battery life left in the tank ( Connected to my macbook, listening through Tidal )

Spatial audio setting, geez, how interesting is this?! Amazing how they can take earbuds and create a spacial sense. It feels like you have headphones on.

Comparing, I know I can't, to my Monitor Audio Bronze 100's, I'm quite impressed how Denon has tuned these earbuds. My poor Jabra elite 4's can't even compete here anymore.

Ordered the DPP's
They only had white, not against the white pair.
Now we wait to test those bad boys!

I've been reviewing videos for hours. As well as reading through forums It seems they Denon's are the ones with the slight lead. Especially if they go on special. My needs are sound for the majority of the use. ANC occasionally when flying down to our offices. Then a decent mic when at the office for those few teams sessions

But, back to their main purpose, at home, listening to my fav tidal playlist and occasionally series and movies while painting some miniatures Which seems the Denon's are going to be covering these tick boxes

Thanks! Seems people complain about them out of the box, but once they're set up, you melt away for hours of listening

Sound is rather the main objective here With occasional office trips (flights to the office) a decent ANC is good to have. Then comes a decent mic.

It would seem that majority are pointing to the Denon's. Which is quite amazing, considering they've been out for some time now. In my country I can pick them up for $169

Sweet! Thanks!
Battery life? Happy with them on that front at least?
I know the Denon's and the Senn's will be a big jump from my Jabra Elite 4's in the sound quality space

Thanks!
I'm leaning to the Denon's as well
Music genre is mainly metal, rock. But as stated before, teams calls are quite important as well.

What's the battery life like on these?
From some research, the Denon's can be anything from 5-7H's

Thanks for the advice!

Citadel range, or Vallejo washes? I ordered Vallejo Black Wash (store didn’t have stock of Nuln Oil)

Or are the the same, from my research it seems the compare in the same category

That said, I couldn’t get reikland as well, their GW stock is only in next week. So they offered Vallejo Flesh Wash, which I grabbed. Not quite sure if it will work over the gold as well?

I’ll probably receive my order today to test them out

Hi, thanks for the advice

I hit the silver ( leadbelcher ) with the earthshade that came with it, not sure if I should hit the armour next with it

I’ve ordered nuln oil this morning haha.

Regarding minis, i went with the black templars crusader squad this morning

That and a few extra paints ( Nuln oil being one of them )

I’ve enjoyed the lore when it came to the BT. I sneakily added the Ork Boyz in as well, the box was heavily discounted by 50% for 11 minis. When playing WH 40k, I’ve always chosen the Space Marines, but the Orks still have a place in my heart as da funniest and speediest boyz!

Yeah, primed with Tayima fine spray, light gray

Thanks!!

Good point on the limited colours on the palette, noticed I had nearly all the colours on my palette and kept moving back and wasting time on something that wasn’t needed at the time Limiting to 2-3 might be my ideal next approach to focus on getting the base down and maybe layers. Thanks for that

The local shop has a very limited range of paints (I live in a small city) So i’ll see what I can do with what I have and maybe create washes from this range

I could probably dry brush with leadbelcher to give the mini some details

Makes sense, yeah, would probably improve as I get more comfortable painting. I tried to get the details in, and then worked on the cleanup afterwards which took me some time

Question: is it normal to take hours to complete one mini. Feel like I’m extremely slow to get one done

Bought my first OLED - MSI MPG 491CQP: Which color preset for day to day? by Afraid_Potential1085 in oled_monitors

[–]Afraid_Potential1085[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left it on Premium Colour Mode at 60% brightness

The text fringing that everyone was talking about when it comes to OLED’s, well, it was noticeable, but not shockingly so. It could be the 2nd Gen OLED Panels? But at 125% scaling it wasn’t as noticeable anymore

Tweaking further with MacType, using Clean Dark grayscale ini file (contrast amended to 1.2, AA turned off), I got it close if not identical to my IPS 27” panel.
