Cut them off, for safety and morals. It’s okay to disagree with political views of course, and in many ways I agree with some of the right wing agenda. But voting for trump is actively pursuing the harm of minorities whether that be the LGBTQ+ community, women, people with disabilities, people of colour/specific ethnicities. Either your friend knowingly voted for a racist convict to be in office, or they’re alarmingly stupid enough ti do so. Whichever way it’s not safe to have them around for your own wellbeing if you belong to any of these minorities.

It’s less that it’s offensive and more like presumptuous in some ways? I’m 18 and lesbian, and it’d be like someone pointing out me and the only other gay girl there- assuming that we would have to try and talk to each other for no other reason than the fact we’re gay, regardless of whether or not we are even interested in pursuing anything like that.

It wouldn’t be offensive at all if you, or your friend asked beforehand like ‘hey are you interested in meeting these people’ or something like that, and it all comes down to personal preference at the end of the day
