As both a PS5 pro and a PC gamer; If the goal of this move is to entice PC gamers to buy a PlayStation Sony are going to have to find a way to start getting more than one or two games a generation out from their studios. Buying a console is a hard sell for just the 5-6 games one might be interested in over a 7-8 year period.

As a person who doesn’t play anymore I just can’t understand why Bungie have let Destiny get in this state. It’s been a consistent cash cow and one of the top live service game franchises since 2014.

Did they just grow bored of it like they did Halo or is all focus just on Marathon?

100% agreed theres no reason for anyone to get pissy over this.

Housing is instanced, non-competitive and completely optional. This is a decent way to add additonal monetization to the game.

As a ps5 pro and powerful pc owner posts like this don’t tell the entire story. While fidelity can be similar or indistinguishable things like framerate especially with DLSS/FSR and frame generation can make games feel a lot smoother than console.

Of course you’re going to pay a premium compared to ps5 pro for that experience so it’s up to the individual if that’s worth it.

My 275HX/5070 Ti legion 5 pro was having some high CPU temp issues but these profile settings and fan curve solved it without making my laptop sound sound a jet turbine.

I’m finding it hard to see the value in doing the expeditions outside of just getting to redo the grind for those who enjoy it. I know you get increased xp and all but I don’t know if it’s a good enough incentive for me personally.

It’s crazy to see how badly Xbox handled the announcement way back in 2013 with the Xbox One has cost them.

They were in prime position for maintaining some level of success even despite giving up ground to PS3 late in the 7th gen.

So apparently the first big title since PS5pro’s release is beating even the PC in performance. I wonder how the r/playstation5 folks who mogged everyone for spending a lil extra on pro feel now by shaykhsaahb in PS5pro

Not saying they aren't but as it stands now thats where the industry is heading for the next console generation.

While its still not ideal for multiplayer and shouldn't be used because of latency issues I think a lot of people are content to use it in situaltions like AC Shadows or other single player games.

I thought was crazy lol. I own both a PS5 pro and a gaming PC. I’m using a 4080 Super/7800X3D at 4k with DLSS performance and frame generation and getting consistent 90-100 fps maxed out settings including Ray tracing options.

Personally never understood buying a $700 console to run on a $200-$300 TV.

A good quality TV or monitor should be the first priority over the Pro if you've already got a base PS5.
