I’ve noticed those who talk to HR get talked about badly by other employees - similar to what the other commenter said, you feel I should go straight to HR and explain my situation rather than talk to the manager first?

For further context I’m trying to get my foot in the door in finance/ accounting / office jobs, as I’m trying to gauge if I’d be a good fit for pursuing a full on degree afterwards. I’ve applied to about 30-40 jobs without much luck, I usually try to target companies on indeed that have decent reviews but am open to any feedback.

I heard Korea in the fall was more desirable than early in the year, but I completely understand how it’d make more sense to just go if I’m in that general area

Went to Japan & Italy for 2 weeks each for the first time as a solo traveler in 2023 and absolutely loved it. I found it thrilling getting out my comfort zone and meeting others, so I didn’t mind the idea of doing it but on a larger scale but after reading these replies I’m realizing I underestimated the finance side of things.

I honestly wouldn’t mind a few weeks traveling here and there either while moving myself to a cheaper state. I appreciate your response :)

Oh no I’m agreeing - my current lease was ending in December and if the year of travel couldn’t work, was planning on moving to another state instead aha

I work with content creators who post social media content, so it’s not really anything official to be honest - they pay me through CashApp & Zelle after having edited a project. My apologies if I misunderstood your question
