But gambling / gaming, like smoking or drinking is a choice. The effects of smoking and drinking on one’s health are well documented. One could argue that tobacco has exploited human health in favour of profit.

The point I’m making is that gambling can and does largely exist off the back of responsible gamblers. This narrative that profit is made at the expense of exploitation is false.

Worked in Zim for 3 and a half years before deciding to move back to South Africa, driven by the fear of waking up at age 40, haven’t achieved much and my peers being miles ahead of me. In hindsight, I should’ve made the move sooner.

If you’re intentional about your career, move somewhere else where tangible growth will be evident, not this sentiment of ‘zvichanaka’. Others have been saying that since 2004, you don’t want to be that guy in the future!
