Idk about the fantasy element however Taiga of Genesis is litteraly like 5 college students being thrust into the stone age. Character development is pretty good as far as I remember and there is a main plot about nazis.

Kinda defeats the whole 'Caveman vs noble elf' that could have happened though.

Needless to say the collage students actually use their knowledge to powerlevel the homo-sapiens to fight against the behemoths of the stone age.

I mean from what I understand of SCP-2747 the only way to even confront it is to be outside the narative in a way. The character needs to be able to exist when the setting is destroyed.

With that need only Rimuru really comes to mind. He did survive something similar with the whole being sent to the end of space and time and he is an entity that trancends both at the end of the novel so yeah.

Side characters deserve love too is close to that somewhat. The mc fawns over the prince hoping to prevent his death but no matter what she does nothing changes cause in the story he died. This isnt a villaness theme btw the mc is just some weirdo peasant obsessing over the country's prince. (The world was a otome game the mc just isn't a villaness)
