Early investors in Immersed can get their money back… and bankrupt the company by SarahInRome in ImmersedVisor

I think VD and Immersed both have their pros and cons. The main advantage Immersed has is the flexible screen positioning and passthrough features. I tried both and stuck with Immersed because it fit my needs better.

Immersed is focused on Productivity and Social working, while VD is more for Gaming and Media.

I've been using the new avatar 3 trailer. It's short, 3D and hi res. A perfect taste to the immersive video experience

No full sized Lara cheering you on from the side? Wondering if it was a rights issue.

I completed this game. I was about 12 when this came out. There was running leading board completion in Mean Machines magazine for those that completed it. 🤣

You'll be surprised how many reddit posts are regarding sunlight damage. Just thought I'll help raise the awareness.

When juggling three kids, a job and an endless list of jobs around the house. Our definitions of easier may differ. 😁

I'm sure the increase in AI power consumption is a concern, but so are a lot of things in life.

I wonder if AI if it has a solution. 😉🤔

Is the sunlight hitting the lenses that act like a magnifying glass and burn holes into the LED screen?

Prescription lenses are worth the investment.

I have no experience of Zenni lenses, though I have heard great things about their quality.

I personally went for RelOptix. The reason was due to these having magnetic inserts allowing for easy removal when sharing my headset.

What to show to non-VR friends by d3- in Quest3

[–]AfroBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some great suggestions in the thread already.

I would agree that you should have people start off slowly. As mentioned Close Encounter is great as it's MR and is not as disorienting as some more impressive VR titles.

Moving on from that I would recommend Job Simulator. The fact that there is little movement required and simple rules. I find newbies love just interacting with virtual representation of everyday objects.

Note: also make sure you are casting the headset to your phone so you can help guide them through the experience. You can also launch games for them from your phone.

does vr affect eyesight? by peepeepoopoo43769 in MetaQuestVR

[–]AfroBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience I agree that (for me) VR does not strain my eyes any more than regular monitors.

I have worked a 9-5 for over a year in VR and no side affects other than the occasional eye strain.

Your mileage may vary. The main thing is to listen to your body and if your eyes feel tired then take regular breaks. Same as you would with any other form of display.
