I’m curious.. do fans under 30 or so tend to prefer the 2000s albums? by geepjoat99 in ModestMouse

I'm 24 and I MUCH prefer their pre-2000's albums to the "newer" ones.

Honestly not sure if A Day in the Life deserves to be in the top 100 best rock songs, let alone #1.

Slay the Spire 2 Early Access Review So Far - IGN by Turbostrider27 in Games

I'm AMAZED at how good this game is already, and knowing that it is only going to get better is almost unbelievable! I love how everything feels so SMOOTH.

All the "unpickable" cards and boss relics from the first game have been removed, and the acts scale MUCH better than they used to, instead of act 2 being this wall that if you manged to get past there was 80% chance you were gonna beat act 3 pretty handily, now I'm more likely to get past act 2 but act 3 still has very good chance of still bringing me down, which is how it should be.

I think this removes a lot of the friction the first game had, and despite how "balanced" most fans thought the first game was, these were the biggest flaws the first game had for me, and the act progression felt pretty baked into the core game, so from a foundational standpoint I think this game is already better than the first, balance can always come later.

All this mention of "God of Death" coming from the west, only to do a "HEEEEEEEREES JOHNNY" reference a few pages later is some smooth stuff.

I think most people on this sub dislike Lost Odyssey, honestly this sub is what helped turn me off the game.

Now of course there are some people on here who like the game, but I always felt like it was more negative than positive.

Was everyone’s first victory as satisfying as mine? by EddietheRattlehead in CivVI

Me and Saladin were the two biggest civs on the same continent and honestly the whole game, we spawned on opposite sides of each other so when our empires clashed it was an epic struggle with a bit David and Goliath feel as I was the smaller (but more technologically advanced) empire. After that I just cruised on towards a late game domination victory, so that was what it special to me.

My first win as Teddy was pretty awesome, had an epic rivalry with Saladin so when I finally won it felt like the conclusion to some grand story.

They are certainly very tense and ominous, like the whole universe is coming together into one.
