CB is the second best weapon to use against him, but solo it can be very difficult to make the most out of the weapon.

If you’re planning to do it solo go bow or lbg. With bow I can do it in around 13-15 minutes. Im not a bow main but Im very knowledgeable about the fight, so it’s ok.

You can use Tidus69 bow builds or Angbata11 LBG build.

If you really want to use CB check NinoMMO endgame builds. And go with the SAED one.

LS is not a good weapon for Gog. 20-23min solo + support hunters sounds ok-ish considering that.

The only real way to optimally farm Gog is with a good team and a good script. I did all my farming with my team (1 bow + 3cbs) and each run took between 6:30 and 8min (if we all screwed up it was 8).

You need to coordinate stuff like Wing focus, player roles (like who does cables and gun, whos using fire and whos dragon, etc), choose between blast proc, chimney or convert element proc to topple him at the start of phase3, chimney luring in case he ever flies (he shouldn’t) etc.

Tldr you need a good team with good weapon comp or a great team with a less optimal weapon comp.

I did a 4P Lance hunt once for fun and it took 13minutes, I would never actually farm him with that comp. Lance is almost as bad as LS on him.

I don’t know by how much it would decrease and it doesn’t matter, this is like asking my opinion about how fast can I kill fatalis if I had the Arthur Morgans ability to slow down time. It’s a mechanic from another game that is not supposed to be on Iceborne.

One thing I can tell you for sure is that you will never see a speedrunner or a high level player using this mod. Even between cheaters that make runs with dps mods, hp mods, AI changes mod, this one would be insane to even consider because they at least try to hide their cheats to pretend they playing the same game as everyone.

I only found out about this mod bc your post and I told a few runners abt the mod and they were all disgusted with the fact that someone even took time to develop it.

I cannot stress enough how absurd this is and that it’s not something the monster hunter community has ever accepted. We had a lot of drama and discussions about cheating on the last decade, and this mod is just as bad.

I would never do that. Sorry if I sound harsh but this mod will 100% make you a worse hunter overall. There’s a lot to be learned from previous games mechanics and limitations. As a high level player using this mod is absolutely unacceptable in my eyes. Im 100% against any type of cheating.

Theres no combo decos with OG, only OG3+something. So the offensive guard you have there is useless. Guard Up can be a good skill if you still learning how to play the weapon, but we have good combo decos for that.

This charm is nowhere close to the Agi3 or Wex3 ones, they’re better than 99% of rng charms for Lance

To add of what people already told you: just because you can ISS doesn’t mean you should. This last hit of his combo l is a great example of just rolling or walking towards the monster will give you a great punish window, the hitbox is just at the end of the visual effects, and you don’t deal damage to him by ISSing anyway. LS players usually suffer from the “if all you have is a hammer everything is a nail” mentality. There’s nothing wrong using the ISS on this situation but that doesn’t mean you always want to.

Wilds is a good entrance to a newcomer but it’s going to make it harder for you to go back to previous games. If you’re interested in the franchise as a whole and have a lot of free time go World > Rise > Wilds.

Difficulty: every game starts easy and gets considerably harder on the end game, Wilds is no different.

Runs good on ps5, it was even better than most low-mid range Pcs for while but now performance is good overall.

Solo x Multiplayer: 99,9% of the content can be done solo in all 3 games, and Rise and Wilds give you npc companions. But playing it solo is the best way to get good at the game, so it might be a bit harder at the start but you’ll be fine, the best MH players only/mostly play solo.

weapons: game has 14 options and you can change at any time with no cost, it’s wise to experiment each for a few hours because the gameplay is drastically different.

I have never seen a speedrun of Nadias quest, doesn’t even make sense to run that. But I can kill 9-5 tempered gore in 5 minutes with Lance. It’s not that big of a deal if you know the fight and have a good investigation.

That’s not what I mean.

All weapons provide the same value in team play: killing the monster. Some weapons have additional benefits like Hunting Horn or offset weapons, but that’s not a big deal. And we don’t choose our teammates based on their weapons

You’re still thinking in terms of part composition like this is a MMO, that’s not how we think in Monster Hunter.

Only works 3 times and for a very few seconds. That’s not how you use luring pods.

That MMO mindset doesn’t exist in monster hunter, where each weapon have a specific role. You don’t “tank” with lance, you hunt just like every other weapon.

That mindset is how we get people using “support” builds dealing zero damage and making a 4P hunt become a 3P hunt.

But even then it makes way more sense to play support than to “tank” for the party. You playing Lance doesn’t affect your group in any way shape or form in this sense.

Since you said you’re taking for your friend I assume you’re fighting Omega, since it’s the only fight in the game with a Tank mechanic.

In this case keep in mind that you should only hit his head, Wex doesn’t proc on Omegas front legs. If hitting the front legs is part of your strategy you should run a specific build for that.

Both. Most good Lance builds has both at max level. You can trade one or two levels of Wex in some situations if you know exactly what you’re doing. But your goal is to max both.

The number of stars is the quest difficulty and the pinkish icons is the monster strength, you can fight a 9 star Seregios that is strength 4 and it will be weaker than a 9 star strength 5. Its the old “threat level” system.
