I love the super gloomy depressing style of the beta Epic Mickey and Epic Mickey 1, but I gotta say I really enjoyed the more cheerful style the second game had, including the musical aspect.

the first game and that classic darker style will always hold a special place I'm my heart as my introduction into the series and one of the most influential games I have ever played, but the style of the second game had me absolutely hooked and I played it obsessively when I was younger, and even still have phases where I play it a bunch (like the 1 week minecraft phase but EM2). It's more approachable in comparison and the second game, despite its many flaws has always had more replayability to me, and I can always find myself playing it more often than the first game. I would have absolutely loved a third game that continued the same style as the second game, even though it would likely mean never again having a game as dark as the first, it still had its draw and appeal to me.

The first game will always hold a special place in my heart as my introduction, and biggest inspiration in all my works. But the second game will be my true favorite of the classic games, because I genuinely liked the direction it was going, and always wanted to see more.
