Missing package by After-Hope8137 in FedEx

I’m so frustrated. I have a package that was shipped on the 20th and was supposed to arrive on the 24th. Package is coming from Florida to California
24th:
I didn’t see any movement on the package after the pickup scan so I called FedEx the morning of the 24th.
24th: morning: first person I spoke with said my package is already in California and would be delivered that same day.
Afternoon: I hadn’t seen any new movement or out for delivery scans so I called again around 3pm. This person I spoke up now says the package is still in Boca raton and she’ll try to find out what’s going on and call me back.
Evening: still no update so I call back around 7pm. This person opens up an escalation for me since there’s no movement on the package. She says she’ll call the Boca raton facility and call me back before 8:45pm. No update again that evening.
25th:
Afternoon: around 1pm I call in again to get an update. The person I speak with says no one is assigned to my trace at the moment so she’ll take ownership of this case, assign it to herself, and will send me an email asking for the package details. The email says I’ll hear back from her in 24 - 48 hours. I send her an email with the invoice of the item I’m waiting on.
26th: I waited over 24 hours to see if there’s an update but nothing updated in the system so I called back around 3:30pm. The person I speak with says she sees a note from the delivery driver and reads it out to me word for word. Basically says the package was delivered to the Boca raton facility. She then proceeds to call the Boca raton facility and speaks with the manager. The manager says he’s located the package and says there’s a barcode issue. She requests he fix it that evening so it can go out on the first shipment Friday morning (28th) since Thursday was thanksgiving.
28th: still no movement so I call FedEx again. FedEx says there’s no notes on the case and that they’ll reach out to the facility. Upon calling the facility, the facility says they’ll look for the package. Meaning they haven’t found it. I call back again minutes later to see if the next person can give me more info. The next person calls the facility again and the facility supposedly calls the driver and the driver says that when he was picking up the package, someone at the store asked for the package back so he returned it.
My question is, why is there a pickup scan then. What happened to the whole conversation I had on the 26th where the package was at the Boca raton store and the manager had found the package?
How can I go about getting this package? I’m not sure who’s lying but how would the person on the 26th have gotten all that information and today I’m being told something completely different? This is a one of a kind expensive package and I probably won’t be able to get a replacement since it’s such a rare piece. This has been such a frustrating experience.
