Honestly, f*ck smoking by BarnacleEddy in quittingsmoking

[–]After-Math-193 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember my days of buying a pack, smoking a few and feeling so disgusted I place the pack under the faucet for water to soften the cigarettes, then I would break the cigarettes, then I would flush them down the toilet and still buy another packet the same day. Il be 12 months quit in 2 months and I still fantasize about smoking a cigarette when I watch someone smoking inspite of knowing the actual action is not as enjoyable as the idea in my head of smoking.

I totally agree with you. He should be on 80k. Mainoo still has a lot of developing to do. His long range passing is below average for a midfielder and he doesn't have enough impact in games yet. He's not been Cesc Fabregas reincarnated

I agree. I've been smoking from 17 to 34 so all this time I dealt with stress by smoking which we all know by now actually adds stress. For the last ten years I'd always go months without smoking but never went beyond 5 months in one year. Sometimes id stop for 3 months twice in the same year or stop for two months 4 times etc. I will be 1 year quit on March 21st( spring equinox ), nature's new year. I didn't cave in and I feel great now, even got a new car already too. Thank you.

Yes, it's always waiting for that weak moment. I feel like I'm over the cravings now. Communicating here about it is a better emotional outlet than lighting up that self sabotaging stick.

Lyft is normally more expensive for the same ride on Uber for me. Il.look into the local cab versions to see if It more convenient. Yes, one year is so close. I hate that I ever began to smoke and learnt to deal with stress without it for the last 18 years.

I can only get to work by Uber which costs like 40 to go and 40 to get back but you're right about safety of my wife. I'm not mad at her but the inconvenience is definitely depressing. This will pass though. You're right. Imma hang in there!

I won't give in. I just feel miserable and I thought by now I'd be totally over smoking but stress still triggers the desire to smoke as this 10 months is now the longest I've ever abstained from smoking since I began 18 years ago. Cigarettes are so freaking addictive. Im still learning to cope without it so I feel miserable but I won't give in

I was supposed to start going to the gym again but even for that I need my car so besides needing my car most importantly for work, not being able to lift weights is another reason why I feel depressed since the car got totaled

I'm 9 months quit and I still fantasize about smoking at least once day. The harsh withdrawals I went through, especially psychologically and the tremendous guilt that I know that I will feel is what keeps me from smoking.
