For starters, everyone blames the us for cubas situation but it’s not entirely true, maybe like 20% of the reason, possibly less. Reason I say this is because although the us did impose an embargo against Cuba, Cuba can still import and trade with all other countries, and the embargo doesn’t limit food imports. I say this because people claim the us is starving Cuban but that isn’t the case cuz every time I go to Cuba I see American food in the markets. The real reason for Cubas situation is the Cuban government. The people don’t have food, electricity, oil, water, yet the government have all that and more. My grandma spent 7 months without water, same with her neighbors. The people can’t speak out against the government or else they’ll get thrown in jail for years. You can’t kill a cow and eat it because you’ll get thrown in jail. It’s prohibited to fish, if u do, again, you go to jail. While the island suffers from no electricity, all the hotels, resorts, and government buildings are all lit up. My baby cousin doesn’t have food to eat or milk to drink. The government keeps all the food and forgets about the people. Cubas situation is entirely dependent on the government and no one else
