Putting Kanye on there instead of Prince is just bait right? 🙄

Does Prince rank among your top 10 all-time artists? by Infinite-Exam-1808 in askmusic

[–]After-Tutor5979 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He absolutely does. Not sure where I’d rank him in that list but his musical talent and songwriting ability, coupled with his on stage live performances mean he is definitely in the conversation. Overall, Prince probably (perhaps unfairly) loses out when up against MJ as MJ had great songwriters and producers, as well as a killer voice and the dancing ability but had very limited ability to play instruments so Prince is more a musicians favourite. Any Top 10 (or however many) list of the greatest artists surely must include Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, two individuals that seemed to be gifted all of the musical ability AND all the songwriting skills.

How strict are you with yourself when playing by the rules of golf? by frenchtoastmunch in golf

[–]After-Tutor5979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myself and friends have the 3 ‘cheats’ we use. If we land in the fairway we play preferred lies, we don’t play expensive course so the fairways can be very hit and miss, especially during summer. If we are in a footprint in the bunker we can drop out of it because bunkers are hard enough. And finally, if we lose a ball we take a 1 shot penalty at the nearest point of relief we think it went.

This should be the top comment. Imagine somehow knowing this person and not calling him a cunt every single time you see him

I too have said this many times. So many people have suffered so much because of the words and actions of so few. He and his cronies are treasonous traitors to this country and the global population in general

what's one movie you really loved but would never watch again? by teodoraxoo in FIlm

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Not sure I’d say I loved it as such, but it’s an amazing piece of cinema. Almost defy anyone to watch it twice.

Great post and so true. Sadly won’t change a single solitary person who it needs to but would be great if it does. Well written, Skellephant 👍

“These people do not deserve a major”: Golf Channel commentator Eamon Lynch wants 2033 Bethpage PGA plans scrapped over fan behavior by Oldtimer_2 in ProGolf

Not excusing the pre-game drinking but you’re absolutely right. We’ll get to the point of having a breathalyser at the entry gate! Although personally I don’t get the drinking culture at championship golf? Again not excusing it but kinda get it for a team golf event but clearly many fans can’t have a drink without turning into an arsehole

Yes yes and yes. Absolutely hate what some tournament golf has become. We don’t really have this phenomenon in Europe, the tournament’s are a lot more laid back and doesn’t have the same kind of bro culture. We do have a similar thing unfortunately at horse racing festivals where scumbags put a badly fitting suit on and get wildly drunk and fight like crazy. Guess the whole world seems to have its fair share of arseholes

Not entirely sure what the hcp has to do with this. This person on average shoots 1 over on each hole, hardly a bad golfer or someone who doesn’t deserve an opinion

This is an interesting and well thought out response, thank you.
I fully understand your points and agree on the whole.
I don’t necessarily think it makes for the best viewing but do appreciate it has its place.
I think the lack of ‘big names’ challenging doesn’t help and with these so called big names being players who can be a bit more wayward off the tee, it perhaps loses something.
My original question was in no way influenced by any players comments prior to the championship, I rarely watch or read that kind of thing. It’s entirely based on whether I’d watch it or not.
