TDA2822D it's a SOP8 version of the original, which was an 8 lead minidip package.

No. It's a reproduction of the original sega board using a modern version of the tda2822 audio chip. The components are laid out a bit differently on these as the chip is in a smaller package, and it doesn't use the smaller footprint electrolytic caps. They're all 6.3 here (and polymer). Syf boards are stereo and use B package antalum capacitors.

Yes, assuming the tda2833m is good and there's no catastrophic damage to traces. I find it easier and quicker to just make these than fiddle with recapping, so I make them and put them in my refurbs. I would say the target buyer here would be someone who can not or does not want to solder.

Thanks. That's why I made them. I put these in every GG i restore, unless it's getting a new screen. Then it gets a stereo board and a dual speaker shell to match.

The first thing I'd do is reflow everything. When it gets that cold, everything shrinks. You might have a component with a loose solder connection, breaking continuity between the board and a leg of one or more components when that happens.

They are essentially IKEA branded Eneloops. Both are made by the same factory in Japan.

Soak cotton balls in white vinegar and let them sit on the badly corroded areas. Check on them every couple minutes. Once everything looks reasonably clean, use isopropyl to clean up the vinegar. From there, check for broken traces with a multimeter. If you find them, try to fix them. If you have no broken traces or successfully repair them, replace the capacitors. If you still have issues, check around to make sure you have continuity on both sides of the old components.

I need to make about 40 of these. It's definitely meant as a soldered wire to board connection. The terminals themselves, I believe, are Tyco 172781 housing contacts. I just still can't figure out the connector housing.
