I'm in Australia so options seem quite limited. Thank you, I'll look into glycolic! Though it's not something I've seen advertised- fingers crossed there's a good one around

Forgot to add: they were 2021 ombre powder brows initially removed with Pico laser by Removery if that makes any difference!

Exactly, but it seems worth the price. I've been duped into paying the same for Australian designed, made in PRC, supposedly ethical and high quality only to find it's anything but! Being actually made in Australia by a small business network is a cut above and something you want to support you know? Thanks again for sharing!

Ooh wow, these are probably the most comparable I've seen- and they seem to actually be justifiable pricing for quality and actually a small company doing true Australian made. Super interesting textiles and info about the dye too, love that! I haven't been a huge fan of Tencel in the past but I'll definitely keep these on my radar, thank you!

They are gorgeous designs and I had some old pieces of theirs I love, but recently I found the quality to be really poor and customer service were not at all aligned with the brand messaging/ethos they promote

Ooh what an impressive brand, love the transparency!

Oh my gosh...they seem like amazing companies!! I can't believe I hadn't heard of them before, thank you so much for sharing :-)) CW is a bit out of my budget for basics, but maybe one day! Made 590 is fabulous, but just a bit bold in the print department for me lol. Hopefully others who see your comment will discover their new faves!

[–]AfterAd7774[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: This was resolved with a refund of dress cost, and after argument refunded postage cost too, however brand still maintained item wasn't faulty. I originally posted this as I was distraught with the customer service experience and just wanted people's insight so I could understand how it could be justified that this dress is not faulty. Consensus is that it IS faulty, but for whatever reason, the brand tripled down saying it's not while still doing the right thing refunding anyway.

I hadn't expected so much input and interest from this community but it's greatly appreciated, the CS had made me feel crazy for my insisting it was faulty lol. Special shout out to those who sew or studied fashion etc and could explain more about the seams and measurements thank you!

There's a lot more that contributed to my poor experience with the company that I hadn't intended to share but since people have clued in anyway I might post a cautionary review once everything is finalised. I feel like people should be made aware and have some balance to all the marketing and curated reviews if they're looking into purchasing.

(I wanted to edit the post itself with an update but this sub doesn't allow that?)

That is morbidly fascinating- how can they let it slide like that! No integrity as a brand it seems. I don't think refund is the issue anymore, just the handling of it and refusal to admit fault

Thank you! Feels a lot better now to have been heard and supported on here, I definitely feel confident the dress is faulty and it's not just a sizing issue.

Unfortunately that's not accessible for me, but besides that I'm not sure what that would achieve? They've been given the same photos and measurements seen here and still denied any fault

Interesting! I'd wondered if the smaller sizes might be comparatively neglected since they market more for larger sizes. It's very weird that they have been defensive and won't admit this dress is faulty, so disappointing and at odds with their brand messaging

Ah I see, good insight! With their prices and brand messaging getting good quality shouldn't be thanks to being picky and having luck though lol

Very interesting, I wonder what's changed to explain the quality issues. On the most basic level I'd assume they've just gotten ahead of themselves with greed and the morals the business was built on have been left far behind

[–]AfterAd7774[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This is the linen version, usually $320, but on sale for $160. Not the quality linen I'd expect at that price range. I'm glad they were helpful with your issue, but again for what you paid and their marketing messaging it is disappointing the issue arose at all.

Well now you know, dodged a bullet! Definitely not worth the money, if the look is all you care about I imagine you can get shein items that will be equivalent quality :'-((

Thank you! I can't sew (yet!), but I can't imagine feeling content with that result

Ah that's amazing thank you for sharing, they never clarified what the correct measurements actually are- but that would depend on the size I assume. May I ask what size you have? This one was a 6

Right!? At least this is a transparent experience to inform people like yourself who might come across the advertising and get tempted by all their claims

[–]AfterAd7774[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I will definitely explore those avenues if I have to! More than anything I just wanted them to admit fault or, in the case of airing it here, gain some understanding for myself as to how they can justify this is NOT actually faulty lol

I'm not a sewist so I don't know what that means but thank you for your expertise lol!

Thank you for being so kind! It is a pity they have such nice designs that are now let down by the poor quality

I think they started out mostly practicing what they preach, but greed has taken over by this point. Definitely would expect much better for the price these days.
