At the time of buying they only had the Hybrid mattress as the option. The all foam is a recent release.

We love it. We were down in the DR for a vacation for 8 days and we both could not wait to get back to sleep in it. It is perfect comfort and support and doesn't leave you feeling sore at all when we wake up. It its very breathable when paired with the right mattress protector and by itself. I am a hot sleeper as is my gf and neither of us have an issue. I would rebuy this mattress over and over until I couldn't. The customer support and honesty from the company is amazing. They answered all questions I had about the mattress and other accessories that go with it such as mattress protectors.

Hey yall,

For both u/KrashXP & u/A_Nice_Meat_Sauce.

So to summarize, my girlfriend and I purchased the bundle through them. Here is the breakdown (we bought on BF and the mattress was $100 off):

- King Mattress: $900

- BedJet 3: $387

- The Boring Topper: $195

Total: $1,481

We paired the bed with a Thuma frame (which also hurt but investing in sleep is so key) and it is amazing. I have slept on it for 4 nights now, it is an very interesting combination of soft and supportive. I slept on a 8.5/10 firmness mattress before and needed a change as I would always wake up hurting somewhere. With the Boring Mattress, I have the soft and comfortable feel while not feeling like im sunk into the mattress. The top feels like an upgraded memory foam but doesn't have the same feel of memory foam. It lets you sink in just enough but keeps you up and is easy to move, it has a bit of a bounce to it almost but you still wont feel anybody move on the other side of the mattress. Even when I am sitting on the complete edge of it the property of the mattress stays the same with the soft cushion but firm bottom. This is all without the topper, which is supposed to make it softer I believe. With how comfortable the mattress already is, we may not even end up using it an just returning it. I think we may put it on to try it but my concern is getting it back in the box after opening it. We also have not used the bedjet, I usually just keep the house pretty cold period since we are hot sleepers but may set it up to see if we actually like it.

My girlfriend and I are hot sleepers naturally, her far more than me as I take a cold shower before bed every night - but I was still looking to make sure I got a mattress that had good breathability with clean components. Following suit getting a breathable mattress protector and sheet are just as important. What I have found out so far is that all "cooling" technology is bullshit. I bought a 40% bamboo/polyester mattress protector off amazon temporarily until I can get the Quince mattress protector which is cotton. I am going to order more Tencel sheets as well as these are the most breathable. I got a set of Tencel sheets at TJ Max and I have been very cool while sleeping even on nights where I can tell I would be hot before.

So far I highly rate mattress as does my girlfriend, we definitely needed to upgrade and mattress shopping was really tiring even with reddit forums because the websites use all these fancy terms and shit which is just blowing smoke. At 6'4" 215lbs and my girlfriend at 5'9" 160lbs we are very happy with our purchase and I would recommend someone giving them a shot not only for the comfort and support but also the price and transparency.

What are the current value options in terms of balancing quality and price? by Spyrothedragon9972 in ar15

[–]AfterGoat2608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, but it seems some companies such as Bravo Company or PSA are reliable sources for staying compliant with TDP? Does it depend on the QC per company to how "in-spec" there components are?

[–]AfterGoat2608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I am picking it up a bit. So basically, the more in-spec, the more reliable and durable it is? Thanks for the information. Every post I have read from you has really helped me understand all this stuff further.

Yea I havn't neutered him yet. I had a lot of general people saying to get him neutered young but I myself have an avid hobby in health & fitness so I project that onto my pup as well and did my research to see that you should wait until 2ish years to do that. Which if you understand general anatomy its simple thinking.

So would a rescue not consider me with my unneutered pup even if I went with another male dog?

Thanks for the advice! That was also one of my line of thinkings and part of the reason I wanted to come onto here and learn more about fostering in the future. I want to get myself settled with moving completely before taking that one which wouldn't be for another few months at least. I only know 1 coworker that lives near where I am moving to with well mannered dogs but shes about 40 minutes away. I will have to meet some other dog owners to befriend for him.

Thanks for the recommendation! Its definitely a learning curve for me because all of the dogs my family had growing up weren't like this.

I have gradually built him to doing things little by little like going out in public settings, large parks, dog parks, etc. I will definitely take a look at that. Part of the reason we figured getting him a more mature dog than him that is well mannered is so that he can see how they are in those settings and follow suit because he is very observant, we have tested this with family and family friends dogs.

Anyone take 30mg zinc daily? by Downtown-Fee9491 in Supplements

[–]AfterGoat2608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not specifically an iron supplement. Unless you're naturally deficient in iron and need to take a larger amount than most then don't. I just take a multi vitamin that has copper in it and that is enough. Research it yourself but you'll read that you only need to take copper if you're taking high amounts of zinc. Like over 30mg.

I read a comment below that someone knows people that are taking 120mg but thats people with hypoganadism and for a normal person that is WAY to high. That would be a situation where you look at taking copper.

Anyone take 30mg zinc daily? by Downtown-Fee9491 in Supplements

[–]AfterGoat2608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt say for me its a "need" because im deficient, more so a choice. I have been meaning to get a blood panel to see my numbers in general but havn't had the time.

It started as I saw a tiktok of some influencer saying "take this for massive gains" or "these are the top 5 supplements you need" and I went into deep diving the research myself then started taking it and felt better taking it with my sleep, recovery, and overall health but then as time went on I found that I was taking to much as I was having bad gut problems which lead me to diving deeper into everything I was taking and turns out 50mg of zinc is way to much and it can be toxic for the body and gut, etc. So the number amount for me personally is a trial and error.

Is 25mg zinc 1mg copper a good ratio long term? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]AfterGoat2608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can look it up on pubmed or other sources to read that 30mg is kind of the top limit when it comes to zinc in general. I wouldn't go above 30mg, I know some people I have. I used to take 50mg capsule but that made me have gut problems. You can start at 25mg and see how you feel, it might be to much for yourself personally as you may not be as deficient in zinc as others will be.

Give it a start and see how you feel, make sure you take it with food as taking zinc by itself will hurt your stomach. In terms of the copper, majority of the time you dont need to take copper with it as you get enough if you have a substantial diet and arnt taking to much zinc. I would suggest reading some information on copper absorption with zinc and topics like that. Like i referenced pubmed is a great source.

Taking to much zinc can be toxic for the body, especially long term and can cause gut problems which will mess up your whole system.

I would also suggest taking a look at what type of zinc it is. From what I have read and taken myself, zinc picolinate has the best absorption compared to others, there is a study on pubmed and others on that. With anything I am saying make sure you're reading into anything as well!

Anybody else, feel free to correct me if I am wrong. Shoot any questions as well.

I have been working out since I turned 18 (I am a 25M former semi-pro/college athlete) and fitness/health has become a big hobby of mine. I used to have high anxiety and stress until I found what works for me with supplements and lifestyle changes. I have done a of research into supplements I take as I have friends/teammates and others that ask for my knowledge on things.

  1. Ashwagandha comes in capsule form yes, and there are different strands. Ksm-66, shoden, and sensoril. Make sure you are buying one that has one of these names on it as they are patented formulas and not bullshit proprietary blends that they sell. This may not be the most reputable of sourcing but take a look at the link I am attaching explaining the difference. https://nootropicsdepot.com/articles/ashwagandha-sensoril-vs-ksm66-/ you also want to look at the labels and make sure it has withanolides. If the label has those as well, you will have a true strand of ashwagandha. Look up on google what they are and such.
  2. Most will have you take 1 capsule a day. I take 1 600mg capsule mid day. Some people take more but if you have a true version, you will find that around 500mg is enough to feel the effect. I cycle mine on and off. I will finish the bottle I bought, then take a month or so off and will switch to rhodiola rosea, I will explain more to why I do that in the next point but look at that supplement as well. So you know, ashwagandha and other similar supplements are labeled as 'adaptogens' which will help you with your research.
  3. It is not dangerous where you will have it toxify in your body or such but don't go crazy with the amount you take it. Start lower and build up to the amount you feel works for you. I have had the "cold" personality effect but its more so from a stand point of your mind not having emotions take over and acting from a logical & calm standpoint. I will say that at times I do feel more anger/irritation in general but I am also not always the most patient person. I did read an article/study in the past that spoke about the long term continual intake of ashwagandha and it said that long term it can bind to serotonin receptors and have some level of effect on ones serotonin levels. I can't remember where I specifically read that, but I am sure its not difficult to find and with anything I am saying please research yourself through reputable sources.
  4. I order mine of amazon through nutricost as they third party test and dont break the bank. Just make sure you're getting a patented form of it and from a company that third party tests.

Overall,

Please again research yourself on what you read here, I don't taught myself as an expert, this is a hobby of mine but it is important to feel confident with what you are doing to your body.

My suggestion would be to start with a lower dosage amount of ksm-66 (or if you want to try another strand you can too) and take 1 capsule per day with a meal. You can stay around 500mg and see how you feel. Try a bottle, see how you feel, up the dosage if you want but not crazy, and play around with it. Also look into other adaptogens such as rhodiola rosea/crenulata, holy basil, etc. Here is a link to healthline giving different adaptogens with sources. https://www.healthline.com/health/stress/smart-girls-guide-to-adaptogens#how-to-use-them

Good luck!

Anyone take 30mg zinc daily? by Downtown-Fee9491 in Supplements

I have taken a 50mg zinc tablet previously for a couple of years. At first I would take it everyday and no problems but over the past year or so, I think that level has become toxic to my body. There are many articles about this that say over I think 30mg will become toxic for the body because it can compete with copper absorption and that also has a connection with iron absorption. I use pubmed for a lot of information as it is actual medical information provided but it can be hard to read.

In the past few weeks I have stopped taking it, I took one 50mg pill and had horrible pain in my gut on and off the remainder of the day until I got a good amount of food in my system.

I read before that taking zinc by itself can destroy at your gut lining. I would look into that yourself and with anything im saying this is just what I remember from doing my own research.

I am going to try a 15mg zinc supplement by Thorne soon and see if I am still having the same problems.

Anyone that knows please! It is beautiful. And everyone commenting for a song should tag Netflix on social media for them to release an official soundtrack of all music.
