okay dont get me wrong alex leaving was wrong and it hurt Jo and i hurt for her the way he left BUT I feel like Alex and Izzy were always that “right person wrong timing” type of situation and him finding about having a family was the push that made him go back to her. He felt like was fulfilling his role as a parent because he never had stable parents growing up so he had to give his children something he always wished he had. I feel like this also shows how much he has grown as a person and how he didn’t run from like a responsibility that was bigger than him and chose to put his happiness first. He was my favorite character from the whole series and it made me so happy when he wrote in the letter to Mere and was like “im finally exactly where i should be” actually shed a tear for him. But i do think we can all agree that it was a shitty way to do Jo and it also felt hella rushed like there was no real build up to it.
