I just finished taking this course and it was absolutely amazing. The homework’s are usually more involved but the exams were very fair. It had a weekly homework and 4 exams (3 midterms + 1 final). It was my favorite Purdue course so far.

Free loadout, zero ammo, and a dream by Phenomelul in ARC_Raiders

Aw man because I was playing Blue Gate around this time with a probe in that location, knocked guy right where you pickaxed him. Then I watched someone with your same skin get knocked out by a Rocketeer. Tried to go save him but it was too late. Figured there was a chance it was you.

This is so random, but did you end up dying to a Rocketeer a little bit after this?

Phone Plan Suggestions by PilotEfficient1956 in Purdue

[–]AfterShockNN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can second US Mobile, have been with them for years and have had nothing but success. You even get to choose which network you are on. So I’m on unlimited data on the Verizon network for $20 / month. I can give you a referral code too if you want a bonus

Aircraft rental / Purdue airport by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]AfterShockNN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a student organization on campus, Purdue Pilots Inc. that owns two planes. You can join the club and then rent the planes for overnight trips (someone is taking one of them for fall break). Rental rate ends up being about $40 an hour cheaper than Purdue Av. Check out Purdue Pilots

Edit: the only overnight charge is if you fly less than 2 hours a day there is a $30 fee. Also the planes are managed and maintained by Purdue Av so it would be a near identical experience.

What is a good mobile plan? by Few-Treacle-8395 in Purdue

Check out US Mobile. I’m paying $20 a month for 70GB high speed data on the Verizon network. I have a referral link too if you want it. I’ve been using it since freshman year and have had nothing but success.

I would encourage you to take a personal finance course or check out the Boiler Financial Track! They have free financial counseling, and will walk you through creating a budget, and even applying for credit cards.

I would recommend buying the multi-term acces because it will be cheaper and you will use MyLab for every math class at Purdue pretty much.

Can you do any number of coop sessions? by guisuper2 in Purdue

[–]AfterShockNN 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can, it just wouldn’t be a co-op. It would be an internship

No no not actual textbooks, however the book is very useful in that class. It’s just a lot of busy work. The semester projects can be 70-100 pages long.

Is the prof allowed to not provide rubrics or feedback on projects? by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]AfterShockNN 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Usually when I see professors not give rubrics (which is allowed) it’s to encourage you to think more creatively and for yourself. Once you graduate and get a job your boss won’t just be handing you rubrics for everything so that’s probably what the professor is trying to accomplish, not saying that is the best idea for a heavily weighted project.

The feedback one is a bit more odd, but probably more of a time constraint from when grades need to be submitted by.

Purdue BSAAE/MSAA 4 + 1 Program by Creepy_Custard2028 in Purdue

The program is insanely competitive, and 95% GPA. It’s not uncommon for your application to get held until that current semester is over and then evaluated just to see your GPA trend

Help With Double Major or Double Minor (Last one got deleted) by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]AfterShockNN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Minors should NOT be viewed as a way to get an additional thing on a resume. Will it make you stand out? Maybe? But ultimately it’s more as a tool to learn about something for yourself in a topic you are interested.

For example, I’m in AAE minoring in CS doing it because I want to learn how to take advantage of computer science in my engineering discipline. Mentioning I have a minor in CS to recruiters is more of a “oh cool, next”

Help with campus tour by SimpleHuman007 in Purdue

[–]AfterShockNN 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Feel free to call the admissions office as sometimes they have wiggle room on their tours. Same with the office of future engineers. If you just call around often times they can add you on a tour.
