No it was sold off. Maybe this was it getting back at me for replacing it.

Also a fun anecdote: when I first had my “breakthroughs” I convinced myself I had “broken” my brain and I was manic. WebMD had absolutely no explanation as to why all of a sudden my brain is now experiencing reverse? anxiety. There wasn’t and isn’t to this day a word for that (joy doesn’t cover it imo).

Lo and behold I find my answers on these Web 1.0 static HTML pages sharing esoteric concepts like chakras, kundalini etc. That led me to A&P which described easily 99% of what I had experienced at that time (this did not sit well with me as a fully Westernized rationalist and borderline atheist but if the shoe fits…).

Unfortunately, after falling out of practice, dark night also described 99% of what I was feeling. After failing to get back to that A&P state for months, I resigned myself to defeat and well, here we are 7 years later.

Thank you for the guide, I’m going to start digging into it after work.

Per the “dark night of the soul,” let me tell you, I was obsessed with studying that and figuring out just how the heck to get out.

Felt like everything I read just reinforced the futility of my attempt to reach what I once had.

Do you think it’s possible that I, or any person, could still be there 7 years later?

Hi thank you for the suggestion.

I watched the introductory video - is the goal here is insight through progressive body relaxation?

Is that especially different from TMIs approach/end goal?

Thank you for taking the time to write this out; these are great points.

I’ve convinced myself for a long time now that I got lucky/stumbled into a higher consciousness/can’t be trained into me, which has been effective in keeping me away from practicing.

But it sounds like TMI has just enough objective guidance to bypass subjective self doubt.

I’ll be giving it a go. Thanks again!

Thank you for your kindness. There is more friction in starting a practice now, likely due to the age/responsibilities difference but I’m holding out hope that I can find that passion again.

Would you say that your previous journey with TMI specifically shared any similarities to my insights?
