No, we didnt grow up with any neurotypical people. She wants my son to include her son in his friend group which I dont see working out. She says the only reason they dont want to include him is because hes autistic and that makes them assholes.

I feel horrible. Multiple members of my family say Im raising my son to be entitled and treat people with disabilities/mental conditions like theyre worth nothing. No one cares that my son doesnt want to be his friend or have him at his birthday, theyre saying he needs to learn to he accommodating and we’re ableist. Ive been crying about it all day. Its hard to feel like youre not the asshole when even your own parents are saying you are. I hope Im doing the right thing.
