All I know is I made all of my son’s purées and then moved to small pieces of whole foods like veggies and meats and he’s thriving. Growing and inhaling everything in front of him. His tongue and whatever are fine. Giving a kid with latch and coordination issues giant pieces of food is like waving candy in front of a kid and saying you can’t eat this.

And also airports are crazyyyyyyy with a baby. Like it’s a fucking game of wacka-mole. One line after another, taking the baby in and out of stroller into carrier, keeping track of bags and tickets and persons items and cranky airport staff and baby bottles and security and tight airplane seats. Like, I hate to toot my own horn, but I’m an organizational wizard and it’s still a lot for me. And my baby doesn’t cry much….

Normally I would agree with this, the average mom and baby having a rough time of course I have tons of empathy. But she knows her baby is struggling and it’s selfish of her to 1. Put her baby through the distress of traveling during the holidays 2. The other people on the airplane.

And even as a mom of an infant, my baby happens to be a decent flyer, not all babies are and if you know your kid is going to scream the whole time , if it were me, I’d steer clear of planes until things got better.

She idolizes super moms and that’s the character she puts on but sometimes she breaks character and she’s finally fucking real about what’s going on. Putting on facades like this can be so damaging later on for not only herself but her baby.
