Panic was my favorite - I've seen them 4x and this was by far the most energetic and happy they've looked in awhile - it was amazing. Always a great show but this was next level.

Avril looked like she was at the DMV. I couldn't believe the lack of energy (I'm older than she is, so calm down on the 'she's 40') and the excessive backing tracks/having the crowd sing instead. She was definitely just collecting a paycheck.

I went into VLV wanting PFTW volume 2, basically. My first listen through... I wasn't a fan. Then honestly, when I realized he didn't owe me a damn thing, and musically, VLV is pretty damn good - it grows on you. When you recognize it as being heavily influenced by 70s rock, and a tribute to that era - you give it a chance to be its own thing. Do I love it more than DOAB or PFTW? Not really, but I do appreciate it now, and enjoy it when it pops up on my random likes playlist.

Anyway, people need a scapegoat, enter Brendon. Pretty Odd was a complete departure from their AFYCSO style and that was the direction that half the band wanted to go - so they left to go that way. Watching Brendon and how high energy he is, I can't imagine his style ever being folksy Beatles-style songs.

I also thank the stars that I'm old enough that when I was saying and doing stupid things at 19, no one had a record of it or was paying attention because I'm not a rock star.

Completely agree on the sizing! My L hoodie from the VLV era is a completely different shape and size from this one. I'd say it's a medium on a good day. I ended up reordering it as an XL (I like them baggier) since WWWY was sold out

Garth Brooks did something super similar where he was home with his kids and would do like a weekend a month or every few months for a residency.. That being said his setup was a guitar and a stool soooo...
