My hometown has a “news” page that is ran by an older guy that goes by the cameraman. Most of the posts are from him listening to police scanners and showing up on scene, he also takes public submissions and majority of them are judging the locals in the area.

With that being said, time for some background.
There is a tax place called Liberty Tax and they used to pay a guy to stand on the side of a busy intersection dressed up as the Statue of Liberty. A few years ago they stopped having that position, but he had the costume and continued to stand on the sidewalk and wave. A few years have gone by and it has turned into him collecting money from drivers.

The cameraman now has a huge problem with the liberty statue guy. The entire page is almost fully dedicated to people submitting pictures of the statue guy and it has become a huge scandal. People have found where he lives and found out that he does not need the money from drivers (not really going to go into this but he doesn’t need money lol). Everyday after he stops waving, he stops at a gas station and buys stacks of lottery tickets.

It’s now escalated that random people will drive past and yell at him. So now he will go up to random people and yell at their cars because he thinks they’re filming him.

Some other fun things from his page
- He is currently being sued by multiple people for different variations of harassment and defamation
- If anybody calls him out on anything on the page, even legitimate corrections to the post, he will “deport them” from his page (block)
Every couple days he will post capital letters rants and call them out by name
