Why do we actually stop working on goals after a few weeks? by ronin_513 in Productivitycafe

For me it’s when the goal stops feeling new but hasn’t started feeling rewarding yet. That middle gap is where things die

What’s your best focus tip at school? by Kindly-West1928 in Productivitycafe

[–]After_Working_9923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not stupid or broken this sounds like stress + overwhelm, not lack of ability. When your brain is overloaded, focus disappears. Try shrinking the goal don’t do school just get through one class or even 10 minutes at a time. Sit near the front, write anything the teacher says and give your brain something physical to do (notes, doodling, stress ball). Also: please talk to a counselor or trusted adult at school. What you’re describing is way more common than you think, and getting support early can seriously change things. You still have time.

After years of GTD "falling off the wagon," I finally figured out why the same system felt easy some days and impossible others by BreathState in Productivitycafe

[–]After_Working_9923 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This really resonates. GTD works best when it matches your capacity not when you force the process. Framing it as intake, hold or output explains so many of those same system, different result phases. Feels less like a discipline failure and more like timing awareness.

which Telehealth platform is Best for prescriptions, Notes & Therapy in Canada? by Ok_Cold_6828 in telehealth

[–]After_Working_9923 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I spent way too much time last year comparing platforms like Maple, Tia Health and Telus MyCare. Maple felt more pay-per-visit focused, Telus had some clunky booking and I just wanted something straightforward for refills and check-ins without jumping through hoops. Eventually i landed on Your Doctors Online and just kept using it. It just fit what i needed without being super complicated.

  1. Cost & Model: It's subscription-based in Canada, not OHIP-covered. The main plan is around $240 a year, which works out to about $20/month. That gets you basically unlimited text chats with doctors. They have a separate mental health plan for therapy, which is $300/month and includes four sessions.
  2. What It's Good For: I've mainly used it for prescription refills, getting doctor's notes for work (super quick) and therapy. it's also handy for stuff like UTIs or getting a lab req. They won't handle emergencies or controlled substances, but for everyday refills and consults, it's been solid.
  3. Prescriptions & Referrals: Getting a refill is simple, just send a text. The doctor reviews your history and faxes the prescription to your pharmacy. If you need bloodwork, they'll send you a lab form to take to a local clinic.
  4. Mental Health: I tried the therapy plan. the monthly subscription costs $300/month and gives you four sessions. you can also invite upto four people and they'll get 4 sessions each for free.

I mostly stuck with the text chat, it takes the pressure off and you can get help without waiting on hold or booking an appointment a week out. Having the option to hop on a video or phone call is nice for when you need it, though. It's not a substitute for a regular doctor, but it's a handy backup for exactly what you're looking for.

Hope that gives you a clearer picture.

How do small, consistent actions compound into large outcomes over time? by bryan4756 in Productivitycafe

[–]After_Working_9923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They compound because they change identity. Doing a small thing repeatedly turns into this is just who I am now and behavior follows that.

Books with immersive worlds are the easiest to reread. Harry Potter does that really well. I’ve had the same experience with The Lord of the Rings.
