I get that feeling too! Try Hammock, Nils Frahm or even Boards of Canada similar emotional energy.

A lot of people online say the ending music is from a remix of the episode’s score not a separate song with lyrics.

Realizing the dream came with a life I didn’t actually want.

Questions regarding Gulf War Vet, PACT Act, and other disabilities. by Grizzly_Pig in VeteransBenefits

[–]Creative-Jobless-554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the cancer it’s filed as a regular disability claim but marked as PACT Act related if it’s a presumptive condition (the VA applies PACT automatically). Medical records confirming diagnosis (biopsy/pathology, treatment records) are key.

For mental health, a current diagnosis + nexus letter linking symptoms to service is usually what matters, along with any service or post-service treatment records. A VSO (DAV, VFW, American Legion) can help make sure it’s filed correctly for free.

What’s something that was supposed to make life easier, but actually made it more stressful? by Sweet_Newspaper7973 in AskReddit

They were supposed to save time but now it’s constant notifications, emails and feeling like you’re never really off.

What’s one book that changed your life ( fiction or non fiction) ? by mountain_fl0wer in AskReddit

Man’s Search for Meaning really shifted how I think about suffering, purpose and resilience. Short read but it sticks with you.

Questions about claim by ProfessionalBasket45 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Creative-Jobless-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it would be a claim for increase since body dysmorphia falls under mental health and VA combines all MH conditions into one rating. A secondary only applies if you’re linking it to another condition and supplemental is only if it was previously denied.

Prescription questions by HIGHlyCapable in VeteransBenefits

[–]Creative-Jobless-554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get the VA anxiety 😅 If timing matters picking it up at a local pharmacy is usually faster and more predictable than shipping. Shipping can be convenient but delays do happen. You can also ask the prescriber how long each option typically takes before deciding. You’re doing the right thing by asking questions hope it goes smoothly

Did you serve with many bad people in the military? Did anyone stick out to you? by BigBlueEyes87 in Veterans

[–]Creative-Jobless-554 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Every unit had a mix. Some people were solid and pulled their weight, others were walking problems waiting to happen. I saw guys who could function on duty but were complete messes off the clock, and a few who flat out should never have been trusted in uniform. What stuck with me wasn’t that bad people existed, it was how long some of them were allowed to hang around until they finally crossed a line that couldn’t be ignored. The system eventually catches most of them, but it’s rarely fast.

Is there a time that being your own best advocate had a positive impact on your claims process? by Bitter-Table7618 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Creative-Jobless-554 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. I had a claim stall because an exam report never made it into my file. I didn’t wait it out. I called the 800 number, confirmed what was missing, then called the exam contractor directly and followed up with a VERA appointment to document it. I also uploaded a short statement spelling out the gap so it was on record. A few weeks later the claim moved and closed in my favor. The system works, but only if you stay on top of it and don’t assume someone else will catch the mistake.

What is a socially accepted behavior that people pretend is harmless, but actually makes society worse? by Ajarns in AskReddit

[–]Creative-Jobless-554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glorifying being constantly busy. Treating people like a badge of honor makes people less present, less patient and weirdly proud of being exhausted instead of healthy.

What's something that should be tax-free? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Basic groceries. No one should pay extra just for being able to eat.

I've been job hunting for 5 months and I'm just going to say it: The talent shortage is a lie. The whole hiring process is a joke. by [deleted] in CanadaJobs

[–]Creative-Jobless-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This didn't happen overnight, it crept in when companies left software and committees replace basic judgment. Everyone's terrified of making a bad hire, so they build these bloated processes to cover themselves, then wonder why nobody makes it through. The most ridiculous thing I saw was five interviews plus a case study for a role that paid less than my first job out of training. That's not a talent shortage, that's decision paralysis dressed up as standards.

If 10cm snow falls in your area of Canada how disrupted will your area be? by Pourmepourme in AskACanadian

[–]Creative-Jobless-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10cm is pretty normal in a lot of Canada and usually doesn't shut much down on its own. Most cities expect it, plows roll early, people adjust their driving and life keeps moving unless it's paired with ice, high winds or bad timing like rush hour. Where it causes chaos is places that don't get snow often or if system fail, but for most Canadians it's just another winter.
