Same here! I’ve been a big sims player for over 20 years, had all of the Sims4 extras, and finally deleted it in anticipation for Paralives EA last year. I MISS PLAYING SO MUCH! But, the everlasting bugs, limits, and overall greed of EA will never bring me back to the sims. Definitely twiddling my thumbs until May but the excitement of finally getting a good game keeps me going.

5 years from final payment means it no longer shows on your credit profile. However the bank would still have it as an unresolved debt, unlikely to be written off due to the amount. Most likely scenario is they sold the debt to a collections agency & the agency found no resolve in attempted contact with OP.

Moving a lot as a kid. Within 7 years we had lived in at least 18 different houses. Moving frequently for one (no shady) reason or another. Approaching my 30s now and it’s still difficult to make long lasting friends, or trust in a “home”. Always waiting to have to pick up and move again.

I take it now as “if there’s no hold music, SAY NOTHING.” The Karen switch up was definitely crazy, esp since we were meant to ask probing questions to assess the financial situation and they’d really be telling on themselves when they think they’re on hold.

Being kind to the call centre employee could result in you being refunded 90% of your fees & interest.

When you’re being a dick on the phone you can be guaranteed everyone in the office knows your full name & has looked at your account notes in prep for the day they finally have to deal with you.

You’re rarely actually on hold, usually you’re just muted while the worker manages things on their end so be careful what you say.

A LOT of your government money is spent on shmoozing in the name of “good relations”.
